Yes, it’s a really cool piece. I really love the colours of this artwork. Yes! It’s Whitby street in Shoreditch. I wanted to see how the defocus would look if you had a busy or colourful background when you’re vlogging outside. I was really impressed with how good it looked.
Haha, I wish. I think he was walking to the gym that was in the same street behind me. Really? I didn’t realise there were phones with this feature. It’s really great to just block distractions out your shot
Yes, you can use the defocus mode if the person is only several letters away. As it’s meant to blur out distracting objects/things from your video. So, this mode would be great for street interviews and interviews in general
i dont really understand. why people want blurred backround? i want to see all details. i am gonna buy a camera but this thing confuses me very much. can anyone help me on this?
A blurry background generally gives a more cinematic look and keeps the focus on the subject. It's a very desirable look for people. However, you can control this using aperture settings on a camera. By closing the aperture down, you will then see more detail in the background.
@@usmanmajid7837 i know this. the problem is you think and accept the way of doing it. making blur the backround doesn't help focus on the subject. we can see this in a lot of bad works. idea is wrong. accepting it is the other wrong.
@@altankaracelik Respectfully, as a filmmaker and photographer, I can tell you that there's no such thing as "wrong". As with everything in the creative field, these are all artistic decisions that are made to achieve a specific result. There's a reason why Hollywood films use a shallow depth of field i.e. "blurry background" all of the time, but there's also a reason why for certain shots they don't, and they have everything in focus. It's all subjective based on what you're trying to achieve and where you're trying to draw the viewer's attention. The same can be said for the choice of camera angle, lighting, music, colour grading, etc. If your particular style of video doesn't require a blurry background, then that's completely fine. You can use a higher f-stop. But if others do want that look, they can choose to use that option too and it doesn't mean it's wrong.
@@usmanmajid7837 i am trying to tell there is no absolute right way. this is not a focus rule. this shouldnt be. people accept everything beforehand and they talk about creativty. i would do it in a very different way. i am just critisizing that fixation.
Haha, thanks. I’m glad you looked me content. Yes you can use the defocus in both while taking photos and videos. I can make a video on this if you like
@@HuesofDelahaye Yes please do! Would love to see it! Also, the stabilization. I am not quite sure i'm impressed with it tbh. Canon seems to be more stabilized. Can you also show more on that, please?🙂
In this video I'm testing out the Sony ZV-1 defocus mode again some colourful art to see how it holds up when vlogging on a busy street
Very nice, thanks!

Cool artwork on the wall. Looks like Whitby St in Shoreditch. Blurring effect on the camera looks nice and subtle.

Hi, could you please tell me is it possible to use defocus If person is several meters away from camera (for example for interview)? Thanks.

Can it works on still photo?
I’m not sure as I haven’t tried it with stills
