    What a beautiful River, and some nice trout catches!!!! I see the black flies are in full swing.... I'm over in Vermont and Hampshire so we've got pretty much the same weather and pesky black flies. Nice job on the video my friend😊😊😊😊

      You know how it goes. Got to sacrifice a little flesh to the black flies to catch trout!

    Nice spot. Your waters and trout are the same as ours. Good on'ya for letting the big breeders go. I'm in SW Nova Scotia.

    Fantastic video! Just found your content this morning. I was up in Haynesville in March doing some recon on the Mattawamkeag River for spring fishing spots. I'm in Bangor and just LOVE being outside fly fishing. I spin fish too but my heart is really in the fly fishing. I'm subscribed...keep up the great work.

      I grew up right in Hermon, but my family had a camp on the East Branch of the Mattawamkeag so I grew up hunting and fishing around Haynesville. Now I live and guide there! I’m glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!

    Spring this year is a lot like last year with early thaw and low water levels. Bear scat in the spring is always super black from eating all those new greens. Great time of year to be out in the woods if you can brave the black flies

    Beautiful. Did you bleed them before you put em in the creek? Makes for better eating… just sayin

    What would it cost to take my 13 year old son, and I Brooke trout fishing? Not fly fishing, but regular fishing rod, and reel.
    We are from Lisbon Maine.

    Do you run coyotes in the winter with your hounds

    • @Haynesvilleguide

      I have a few I run on coyotes. Didn’t get out much this winter because of the crusty snow conditions.

    Are you getting them on dry flies

    • @Haynesvilleguide
      @Haynesvilleguide  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not yet. I’ve seen a few rises and a few mayflies but haven’t had a good hatch yet. I’m thinking tonight may be good with the humidity and no wind finally. The black flies murdered me this morning feeding the dogs.
