I live in the Labrador city area and I love how you showcase our part of the world in such great quality and professionalism. I’ve lived here my whole life and never caught any Brookies like those.
Thank you very much for the kind words and support Fraser. You live in a beautiful area! I had plans on returning this August but unfortunately that will have to wait till next year.
Enjoyed your video. You are, without a doubt, a high energy type of guy who really gets excited by what you do. A day fishing with you would wear ME out just watching and laughing. Just great, really enjoyed it.😅
Thank you very much. You should check out the video from my last Labrador trip in 2022. It was another action packed fantastic trip!
"Yves in the trees" is one of my the all time favorite Wish4Fish moments.
HAHA!
hahaha yes!
Great video Ken ! Unbelievable brooks, thanks for bringing us along for the ride ! For those of us who will never have the opportunity to travel to such a magnificent destination, we feel the same joy when you land those gorgeous fish ! Tight lines!
Thank you very much for the kind words and support!
O.K., Ken, you're Tanaka'ing my socks off. Brookies are the best...and big 'uns are even better. Will miss you at Salmon Camp this week!
No doubt! Big beautiful Brookies are definitely awesome
So lucky and proud to live in labrador. Best fishing and hospitality in the world.
Amazing place! Although not so sure about your winters 😉
Ken: "Head to the tree's"
Captain: "Sure thing"
Great video, looks like a great time!
😂 we were talking about that last week together. The new Labrador video coming soon!
Labrador is an incredible place for sure
That shoreline with the trees😍
Now thats what I 'm talkin about....that's catching fish...look's like a really good time on the water..........KEEP ON ROCKING IT!...Wish4Fish......
Thank you very much Eric. I appreciate the kind words and support.
More great stuff...amazing amount of beautiful fish! I want your job....
Thank you very much Adrian
Don’t think I’ve seen more consistent strip sets than this!
The fishing here is INSANE! That Laker hole we caught 15 in 1hr!
Very, very cool video man. Almost 20 minutes of nonstop action! Bet this trip was an absolute blast, tight lines!
Thank you very much. Oh yeah, this trip was amazing! I couldn’t even so all the fish because the video would of been entirely too long!
Beautiful fish.
Thank you very much.
Labrador without a doubt, has some of the most beautiful Brookies out there.
Man oh mna, such a bucket list spot for me
Understandable! Such an amazing place! Highly recommended
Totally worth the wait. Awesome as always brother keep up the good work. We will keep watching. Anxiously awaiting our next dose. The tug is the Drug brother.
Thank you very much Brian
Thanks for sharing. Ken..
Looks like a Great Location..
Keep up the Hard Work...
Thank you very much Frankie
I moved to Miramichi, New Brunswick a few years ago. As soon as I saw the bomber I started smiling. It’s an Atlantic salmon killer out here and brookies love it. Awesome video man, liked and subscribed. Tight lines 🤘🏻
Yeah, that was the first time I used one. When he suggested it was was skeptical but after it clearly produced over other flies I was a Bomber believer.
Thank you very much for the kind words and support.
Awesome footage, my absolute favorite fish to get on the fly 🎣
Thank you very much. Not my favorite species but definitely my favorite trout. Only in Labrador that is.
Kick ass fishing man. Gotta love them brookies. So vicious. Awesome video👍👍
Thank you very much for the kind words and support Shawn
Such a sick video!! Added that to my bucket list!
Thank you very much Chris.
Yeah, it should be at the top of that bucket! 😉
Love the bear swimming in the background as you’re reeling in a fish 😂😂 true wilderness.
Also what wt rod and reel were you using and time of year?
😂 for real! Was an amazing experience.
At the time I was using a 6wt. Anything will do from 6-8wt. Whatever you’re comfortable with.
Gorgeous fish Ken. Looks like an epic place where we all wish to go, but few will make it. Thanks for creating a video where we can see and feel the fun in the adventure. For now my chase of the 10-12 in brookies will have to do. You get those labs for us :) Well done and tight lines!
Thank you very much
Nice video, I caught brookies and pikes on the fly in my country too. Petr from Czech, Europe.
Thank you very much
That was CRAZY! Huge Brookies.. Wow
Thank you very much Dave. Yes, this place is a special place.
13:21 Omg, what a monster brook trout!!! Well done!
Thank you very much
Adding this trip to my bucket list! That’s insane! Brookies are gorgeous, and seeing them that big is nuts! 14:10
Yeah, Labrador is insane. It should be at the top of that bucket.
Great video!
Thank you very much
Wow, great video of an amazing spot in the world! Definitely a bucket list destination - I've dreamt of Brookies like that my entire life. Greetings from Vermont, and thanks so much for sharing your adventure!
Thank you very much. I appreciate the kind words and support.
You should definitely make it up there! Such an amazing place. I will be sure to be back up there as soon as they open back up!
lol, never thought someone else from VT would comment on brook trout but here we are!
@@bixby9797 Hello, fellow Vermonter! I hope you're having a good Trout season despite the dry conditions!
@@qcarr You bet! Red NEK and proud. Brook trout are still out there in the backwaters and seldom fished streams that require a hike if not the size of the ones here!
I live in eastern Canada we are pretty lucky when it comes to fishing. Hope you had a blast in my neck of the woods
Awesome! You live in a fantastic area! So beautiful up there and the incredible fishing is a bonus.
Nice video! I'm from Labrador and was fishing yesterday and caught my biggest searun brook trout. A whopping 7lbs!!! It was only a hair over 24" long, but almost 16" girth! The fish pass directly through North West River where I live for 3 weeks in spring. It's exciting to try predicting the times and places where they hold up. Yesterday I was at the right place at the right time 🎣
Thank you very much.
Awesome! Congratulations.
wow good job brow
That black bear swims right by at 16:27, so cool
Yeah! It was CRAZY!! as you can see I was pretty excited about it. Haha
Awesome video
Thank you
Wow impressed skills, definitely adding you
Thank you very much.
Beauty fish brother my fav to !
Thank you very much
Awesome video Ken! I may have to add Labrador to my list.
Thank you very much.
You most definitely should! Incredible place for sure.
What an amazing video I was not able to watch the video because I have moved but thise brookies are huge keep up the good fishing videos
Thank you very much for the kind words and support
No problem
Wow, such a great video my friend. At age 24....... my goal is now to get up there in the next 24 years ! Tight lines Ken
Thank you very much!
Talk about planning ahead! 😉
My dream fish man😍 unbelievable
Thank you
The fishing was great, but those shots of the toilet were epic
Going destinations fishing the fishing number 1 but some people also wanna know where they’re going number 2.
I hope you know I was being sarcastic
Hence my response being a joke. Although somewhat serious.
Yes
great videos keep up the good work
Thank you very much Jim
Great video
Thank you very much
Fantastic footage of giant Brookies! Nothing like Labrador for amazing fishing and hunting. Hope you had a chance to sample the local Labrador Shrimp while you were there. If not, but it on your "bucket list" for your next Labrador adventure!
Thank you very much. Yes, Labrador is amazing.
Labrador Shrimp??
@@Wish4Fish Not many people from outside Labrador realized their is a commercial Shrimp fishery in Labrador. The shrimp are harvested from the ice cold waters off the coast of Labrador, and are very tasty! Discovered this well kept secret on one of my business trips to Labrador. If you check out the "Bigland Trapper" channel on TH-cam (hosted by a well known trapper, fisher, hunter, and cook from Happy Valley Goose Bay), you'll discover this secret, and many more about the Labrador outdoors. Here's a link to one of his Shrimp Fishing videos: th-cam.com/video/U6YlWlGA1HE/w-d-xo.html
Killing the brooks brother!
Thank you
Holy crap man. I’m from Quebec, I saw really big brookies in my life but man...congrats!!
Thank you very much.
Northern Quebec should have too if they don’t do many more mega dams like the whale ! There here In Northern Ontario’s James bay and Hudson Bay rivers and systems lakes and sea run brookies that aren’t dammed .To bad I live in southwestern Ontario oh but we got steelhead 👍👍👍
I really liked you're trip. Very cool.
But dude, bring it down a notch. Hyper brother🙃. The fishing speaks volumes.
Im glad you got such a great trip, amd the fish we're biting. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah you’re right. I will try to have less fun next time.
Forget my comment. Your doing great. Peace
@@Wish4Fish That's almost a Caddy Shack quote.
Yes
Nah
That one at 8:50 was a SLAB!
Yeah, no doubt! Biggest of the trip.
Brookies are my favorite species, so jealous, I love to eat them, over any other fish.
Yeah, one of my favorites as well.
Nice catch🎣👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you
oh yes, oh yes, oh yes. fucking oh yes! beautiful fish, non stop action film.
Thank you Jake
What fun , nothing like catching big Brooke’s on dries :-)
Thank you very much.
No doubt!.... or any big fish on dries for that matter. 😉
Wish4Fish yup 😈
good catch man!
Thank you
8:03 THOSE CHECKERED VANS!!!!!!!!
Haha. 👍🏼
Dam bro this looked like fun! I wish I could of been there with you! Hopefully someday I can make a trip to Labrador!
Labrador is an amazing place for sure. I highly recommend it.
Found you from Instagram love the videos
Awesome! Thank you very much
To do them justice they should be called Starry Trout. Their patterns remind me of Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh.
Natures art for sure.
Nice video brother!
Thank you very much
Wow. Those are far different from the 6in monsters we catch in the beaver damns in the North East!
Exactly. I told them before I went “I have never held a Brook Trout with two hands before” 😂
Wait till you see the video from this year!
@@Wish4Fish Me either but I have 2 on the wall from Maniwaki, PQ my Pepe and Gram caught years ago over 2lbs each. Thought they were huge until I saw you catching these
2:15 my dad used to work at that hotel lol.
WOW! No way! Small world.
How many days was your fishing trip? Did you display all your brookies on this video that you caught? I’m going to head up there in a couple years, don’t think I’ll get a kitchen pass so I’ll probably be single when I get back 🤣🤣
Not sure how I didn’t see this. Sorry for the late response.
This trip was a week. No I did not show all the fish caught. Didn’t show all the small fish basically.
Old fart asleep at the helm, LOL!
Haha. We were actually all looking for something. You can see us looking for it right before we hit the limbs.
Great stuff .. Always been on my mind to fish for big Brookies in Labrador. How much of my bank account " play money " would it take for this kind of adventure ? And what time of year was this ?
Thank you very much. This trip is around $6k. This was in beginning August. The season is from mid June to end of August.
@@Wish4Fish Thanks for the reply ... Is it one guide per person or can you be two fellas ? Is this a full week ? August seemed to be working pretty good for you !
Man those are some giant brookies
Haha... no doubt!
Awesome fishing in the Big Land
Thank you very much. Such a beautiful place. I can’t wait to go back.
Damn those Brookies are on steroids up there
No doubt! Wait till you see the one from this week! 😉
what gear were you using (flies....rod and reel WT??)
My equipment list is always listed in the description box.
@@Wish4Fish oh my bad, I didn't even look haha
Ya ever come back to Atlantic Canada bring your 9wt and come snag some 40-50 inch striped bass in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia
That sounds like a plan!
@@Wish4Fish talk about a rush man I’ve been die hard trout my whole life but each year I find the stripers just take over. My fishing plans lol . But the Saint John river in New Brunswick I would highly recommend, only ever fished the gasperau here in Nova Scotia but I hear the Saint John is where all the 50+ tanks hang out . Ormocto is a great central town on the river you can stay in to access the bigger and smaller sides of the river
I love stalking rising trout and all but sight casting in the salt is my number one for sure. Any species as long as its sight casting to them will do.
Im not too handy with the fly rod but seeing all those fish makes believe i can land a brookie or two .
There ya go! That’s what it all about.
How deep was it where u were getting the pike?
It varied but mostly bringing them out of the shallows
🎣👍🏼👍🏼🎣👍🏼
Thank you
My dream is to take my father there.. it's both our dream. Hopefully I can pull it off before it's too late...
Get on up there! We are trying to get up there this August. You guys should join us!
Are you from Minnesota?
No. Lived there for a couple years though.
The salmon made me hungry lol
It was delicious!
Alright, this is getting ridiculous... How do I get paid to go catch gorgeous fish in gorgeous locations?
W4F needs a euro-nymphing maestro, right?!
Haha!
Are you related to Diana Tanaka?
No I am not
And I thought a 10 in brookie was big....
It is! It’s all relative. 10in is a damn nice fish here in NC! In Labrador, not so much. 😉
Viens chez peco a’ec ça lpere
12:00 old guide dude wasted at the helm? WTF?
Haha! Not at all. You can see he is trying to put the oar back into place. Unfortunately it was a bit stuck and all 3 of us were trying to get it back into place. So much so that I even started filming the comedy. I guess in the mean time we drifted a bit towards the bank! Haha
Brook & Brown are not interchangeable l
7:02 “no I got him” dude learn to set the hook properly on a fly rod
You're right... I have no idea what I'm doing.
What you couldn't see was her underwater swiping at my fly and missing it "dude". Thanks for coming out and trying though.
This guy is so annoying.
I will try harder next time to be as cool as you.
Wish4Fish whats up with people just crushing haterade GET A LIFE epic trip ken keep being annoying
You're not really a fisherman everything you show fishing is wrong great when you're fishing in a place where there's Hundreds of fish
That’s possibly the dumbest thing I’ve ever read.
I literally traveled the world and fish.
Keep on hating hater 😂
