I really resonate with this convo. Carpe diem, seize the day! But every second, minute, moment and choice is an opportunity that’s waiting to be seized, not just the day. Sometimes we wait for the end of the day to tell ourselves we’ll do better tomorrow but we can always choose to do better the very next second. 💯

That is so true and on point, I think we put things off out of fear of failing not realizing we are at risk of failing just by not trying at all...

That’s not really what analysis paralysis is, that’s doom scrolling. Analysis paralysis is when your overwhelmed by your choices and are constantly trying to figure our each possible outcome. In the end you can’t make a decision at all, hence the paralysis.

You can do this! Keep going! I was doing well and I fell off today after 3 months and I just spoke to God about it and I wanna develop a healthier relationship with myself where I don't bash myself if I fail

    • @lexilion16
      @lexilion16 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Yes! This part made me tear up because I've been struggling so much and I sometimes forget that "God is dope" and I feel so much fear and uncertainty and I'm trying my best to strengthen that relationship but it's so difficult. And I know logically I'm not the only person struggling but it feels that way and realizing that no one can really help you make it very stressful when you think about coming to the end of your life and still not being happy with your relationship with Him but not knowing how you can fix it. So just hearing other people say they struggle and they don't have the answers really is helpful for calming me and telling me to keep trying. Keep asking Him, keep talking to Him. One day I'll get there. We all will.

first of all, Rest In Peace to your aunt Isi. My condolences go out to you and your family. Secondly, Spirituality can be a very touchy subject, especially when it comes to someone's passing. I think a lot about if people make it to Paradise or not, I definitely understand the anxiety. Like Josh said, we don't know people's relationship with God, only they know their relationship with the Father. As a 16 year old young woman of God, I always try my best to better my relationship with Him in anyway that I can. Also, I found that talking more openly about God and your faith can open up doors to lead people to Him. I know for me personally, it took away some of my anxiety dealing with this topic. I also have to keep in mind that it's a "you can lead them to the water but you can't make them drink it" kind of deal, but it does help me. Also talking to God at random points of the day helps as well. I love yall's content so much, and may God continue to bless y'all.

I always thought "happy wife happy life" was specifically related to when husbands cheat on or mistreat their wives and how that woman's emotional response, distress, and mistrust will make the mans life in the relationship more difficult. So essentially treat your wife right and you'll get the best most loving version of her (assuming she's already been doing her part and being loving in the relationship). But I definitely get what you're saying, in general it sounds bad lol. I love "happy spouse happy house" :)

having a social media addiction is one of the most dangerous things for the mental health of an individual- ESPECIALLY young people. i feel like this is not talked about enoughhh in this generation!!! i relate to everything Isi said starting from 31:20 about how she’ll enter the social media app in a happy state, and then once she leaves the app, she’s not in that happy state anymore. i’m so glad that we, as young people, are acknowledging such struggles NOW so that we can start working on these things and lead us towards being victorious not only in our mental health, but in EVERY aspect of our lives.

Isi, I second that it’s normal to have the kind of thoughts and questions you had. There are so many people in the Bible who were very faithful yet had the same feelings as you. No need to feel bad for that. Keep studying the scriptures and praying to God to open your eyes to the answers. :)

As a female I’m really confused why it’s bad to tell your partner that they’re getting out of shape. Like you need to be able to understand as a person that attraction and health are important and know that it’s still love. Why can’t a guy tell his girl “babe you’re getting outta shape, let’s work on it together”.

    • @saalihacampbell3313

I agree. My husband has told me that I was gaining weight and that has helped me to start back working out and eating right. We created a plan together. I tell him as well. We are able to have those blunt conversation that either of us may not want to hear but it’s for the better and it’s out of love. We never have harsh tones or degrade each other.

    • @menaaaa05

It’s really great to see how josh will incorporate changes in his own life to show his support for isi I think the most important thing for men when they are trying to help their women in the department of weight is being supportive and walking along with them in their journey is the best thing you can do. Don’t force the change it on them because at the end of the day it won’t work unless she wants it for herself. You can’t walk the journey for her but you can walk by her and help support and guide her through it.

the authenticity and open-minded energy you both give off makes the connection between you both even better and it's such an inspiration. I feel like personally sometimes the "equally yoked" topic can be taken out of context because sometimes having someone to lead you can deepen your relationship with God even if you didn't start off that way. in the bible it even says that two are better than one because one can help when the other one falls!

A lot of important things covered in this convo especially surrounding holistic health! It's so important to take into consideration how it's all connected and how one area of your life can change the functionality of other areas. Great quality talk and looking forward to more!!

You guys talking about the death of isi’s aunt and how you’re healing and coping with it and bringing faith into it has helped me a lot. A few years ago I lost 4 loved ones back to back to back to back. Just hearing y’all’s idea of how God knows what he’s doing and he wouldn’t connect two ppl so closely just for them to never see each other again has helped me tremendously. So thank you and I send my condolences and I’m keeping you guys in my prayers 💓.

Can you do one about how you grow in your faith? I’m trying to grow more in mine so I can start spreading the Gospel but I would like some tips.

Guys! This series is 🔥🔥🔥! Being a little bit older than you guys, it is so refreshing to hear the level of maturity and substance in these conversations. I love to hear it from a young black couple! ❤️
