Really wish this one would have been a video of their live performance. The Chemical Brothers are so far the only group I've ever seen live where the whole experience of it vastly surpasses listening to it released - their visuals are effing ridiculous.
I'm sure the shows are great, but I don't know if video from 1995 of two guys making a radio mix would really be that interesting to watch for two hours, assuming that footage even existed. I love this channel's particular combination of classic Essential Mixes with driving footage.
1. Jean Jacques-Perrey - EVA 2. Meat Beat Manifesto - Cutman [Play It Again Sam] 3. Schooly D - Housing The Joint [Jive] 4. Funkmaster Flex - Nuttin But Flavor [Wreck] 5. Spank Da Monkey - Down Side Up [Monkey Funk/Soul Trade] 6. Gunshot - Children Of A Dying Breed [Vinyl Solution] 7. John Schroeder - Money Runner [Polydor] 8. Jedi Nights - Funk You [Clear] 9. DJ Battery Brain - 8 Volts [Techno Hop] 10. The Beastie Boys - 33% God [Capitol] 11. Bobby J - Check Out The Style [Stripped] 12. Double D & Steinski - History Of Hiphop Part 1 [Tommy Boy] 13. Carlos Barrios - Can’t [After Dark] 14. Carlos Barrios - Doin It After Dark [ATCO] 15. Yes - Owner Of A Lonely Heart [ATCO] 16. Tim - Love - Lee - Again Son [Peace Feast] 17. Freestyle - Don’t Stop The Rock [Pandisc] 18. 4E - 4E Speaking (Force Inc. Music Works) 19. Link - The First Link EP (Evolution / Universal Language Productions Ltd.) 20. The Chemical Brothers - Leave Home [Junior Boys Own] 21. DJ Who - Give A Little More [Defective] 22. Xpando - To A Nation Rockin [Metro] 23. La Metro - To a Nation Rockin (Metro) 24. Josh Wink - Higher State Of Consciousness (Original Tweekin’ Acid Funk Mix) (Manifesto) 25. Emmanuel Top - Lobotomie [Nova Mute] 26. The Beatles - Tomorrow Never Knows [Parlophone] 27. God Within - Daylight [Hardkiss Music] 28. The Chemical Bros - Life Is Sweet [Junior Boys Own] 29. Patrick Pulsinger - City Lights [Disko B] 30. Colourbox - Edit The Dragon [4AD] 31. The Specials - You’re Wandering Now [Chrysalis Music]iz 35. The Buddha Baboons - Say Uptown
Track 22 and 23 are one and the same aren't they? Xpando is a member of Metro L.A. isnt he? So track 23 (and 22) should be Metro L.A. rather than La Metro. Track 27, the God Within track is called Raincry not Daylight. And finally, Track 35 "Say Uptown": I don't think that's there. (also 35 isn't the right number after 31) The mix finishes with The Specials fading out doesn't it?
I had no idea the Dust Brothers changed their name to Chemical Brothers... this blew my mind. I always liked the Dust Brothers and just assumed they ended up as obscure geniuses that never got big exposure. But this makes more sense. Jeez.
Listened to this live as I was well aware of these boys.. Then seen them them for 5 English pounds doing a 25min set of the album in 1995 at sankeys soap... I'm nearly 47 now 😊
27:44 - Sounds like the original sample used in alan braxe - running 'intro' was dropped in during the dj battery brain 8-volt mix. Curious where that is from. Weird. Cool little sample fest on that track too.

Such a dope mix
The entire mix is an organism of AWESOMENESS !!!
Yes it is

the chemical brothers used to call themselves the dust brothers as a nod to the american producers. They are not in fact the original dust brothers.
chemical brothers are not the guys that made the Fight Club soundtrack
Arguably their best essential mix. Respectably, Exit Planet Dust, their best album. 👌
I love the news break at 57:30
47:00 I was already in heaven🪴🤯💨 when I first came across this!(Deep knowledge in the mix🥳)
lol
One of the best Essential Mixes ever, and that's saying something. 9:05 With Biggie/Craig Mack RIP freestyle is so fire

Your so lucky man. I got into their music last year and I'm wondering how I've never heard of them. I'm 18
@@tppr7881 nice one... Great times back in the day.. Clubbing was the big thing in the 90s... Their music has aged well too
@@stuartcarswell2815 I'm surprised I don't hear people taking about them. All of their albums sound so unique.
It's funny that someone in 2021 hasn't heard of The Chemical Brothers. Their live shows will sell out anywhere. Probably not the case back in 1995!
@@rickstaism well, he's 18. when I was 18 I haven't heard a lot of doubtless classics from decades before.
Otherwise known as The Chemical Brothers.......sitting in my basement years ago, this turned into a massive LSD chill session kids now will never know
Congratulations. You did drugs in your basement 🎉
Well done, I was looking for this track that was retired by youtube for unknown reasons! Thank you!
Привет с России chemik...

3:20 - sounds like a remix of Stone Roses Fools Gold with some dub/funk thrown in.
