    The shrimp on dat Po Boy is grill and not fry in de Zatarains flour? Served on a hot dog bun? Spinach? Sacre bleu mon cherie!

      My thoughts exactly, its a spin off of a classic Po Boy. Don't care much for the hot dog bun, because sandwiches are only as good as the bread we put them on and in this case it should be a French roll of some sorts to say the very least.

    If you served a po' boy like that on the Gulf Coast - with non-baguette bread, with shrimp not deep-fried, with spinach instead of iceberg lettuce, with no pickles, with no mayonnaise - you could get your food truck shut down by the city. By the way, po' boys aren't Cajun; they're city food. Gumbo isn't Cajun either; it's Creole.

      You must be from New Orleans (or visited there somewhat), you're EXACTLY RIGHT, a REAL (New Orleans originated) po boy is served either on, Binder's, Gambino's, Gendusa's or Lidenheimer's (French bread) being the most popular one.EVERYONE on the planet uses the term, "Cajun" when trying to popularize their 'cusine' passing it off as south Louisiana food BUT, this food DOES look delicious! (I'm from New Orleans, btw).

      No, not from New Orleans - about an hour away - but, yes, I've been there. Anyway, have had po' boys in New Orleans and in my town, and I know the real McCoy. As for all the makers and bakers of bread you listed, I'll defer to you - all I know is what authentic French-style baguette is.

      It doesn’t have to be fried,for a traditional yea maybe.Bit we also do a Po boy with grilled shrimp and remoulade.that could be with fried shrimp,but personal it doesn’t hit as much as Cajun grilled shrimp.Anyone that reads this should definitely try it,remoulade takes a ton of ingredients,but it’s really worth it.

      Poboys aren't "Cajun", the Poboy (sandwich) is from NEW ORLEANS, not Cajun country (outside of New Orleans), people need to stop associating all food in Louisiana as "Cajun", their cuisine isn't the only one we in Louisiana make and eat! ⚜️⚜️⚜️

    • @nola305
      @nola305 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In some parts of Louisiana maybe, in the city of New Orleans, NO, a poboy isn't "Cajun", the poboy (sandwich) was created in New Orleans, not in 'Cajun territory' by Cajuns. Poboys (in it's authentic form) is made using French bread usually the Lidenheimer or Reisings brands, not rolls, baguettes, buns, sliced bread, garlic bread etc, those sandwiches would be, hoagies, submarines, Philly cheese steaks, mufalettas, etc. If you fried a ground beef patties and put it on a hot dog "roll", with mustard, relish and chopped onions, would that be a hot dog!? 🤔

    I had a shrimp po boy from this truck .... it was soggy not freshly made taste like it was sitting the back for hrs definitely wouldn’t recommend going here

    • @nola305
      @nola305 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A REAL authentic New Orleans "po'boy" is made with a flaky crust on the outside, light fluffy inside French bread, (Leidenheimer) not a "soggy" bread as you described, that's not an authentic po'boy, but a hot hoagie type of sandwich which may even be delicious though anyway.

      Quality is half what you purchase and put into a meal, and half customer perception. Truth is, anything tastes great if your hungry enough.
