Hi Doug and Jo, I absaloutely dig this video. I’m apologize for missing so many live chats, I lll be back soon. Good ol health issues! But anyhoo, I will be posting soon but I’ve gone a little different direction implementinting hardware old and new. I had never even heard of the QY100 from 2001 but Floyd Stienberg turned me onto it so I bought it! With the mood, the syntax error, astral destiny and data corrupter, it seems I can create anything! Adding IOS synths and the hardware synths is just crazy!!! Of course I’ll be using many more but I play guitar as well (I wish I was better ) and the video tools I’ll be playing with should be quite entertaining. I can’t wait so the first ones may not live up to my expectations but it’s coming! Lol always love your stuff! I hope Jo and yourself are enjoying health and prosperity, I’ll chat with you guys soon! Rex
Nice vid Doug. I'm surprised you didn't include Animoog in this, it's my go to synth for soundscaping. The way you can morph between 8 different oscillators as well as wave tables is ridiculous. Keep up the good work sir 👍
I have a question about the abs and your video. Are any of these usable by the blind or visually impaired and, when you’re done making a soundscape how do you streaming it on Spotify and other listening platforms? I’m asking because I’m interested in experimenting with making my own soundscapes to possibly add to my anchor podcast if it is doable. If the creator of this video to get back to me via a comment or reply regarding this I would greatly appreciate it. Keep up the amazing work.
I need random ambient backgrounds. What is the best app for that? I bought layr as it has some presets, but are there any that generate good loops? Half the loops in layr under abstract do not even play. Do I need an external keyboard for this?
You must delete your photos mate :D. And i have a suggestion for you. Upgrade your device to iPad Pro 10.5 64gb. It has better sound cart and it is faster than air 2.
Just added SynthScaper to my slowly growing collection. While these $15 apps can nickel-and-dime you to death, you won’t go bankrupt nearly as fast as you can struggling with “gear acquisition syndrome”! 😄😄
Most people use a midi keyboard. I’m pretty new too and I play on the screen quite a bit. It’s not ideal but you still learn a lot. Most of the apps, you can adjust the on screen keyboard size (so it’s larger and you’re not bumping keys)
Oh yeah, Cool Beans, love you guys!
This content, and your warm personality, is why I’m a Patreon supporter.
Thanks very much for this.
Excellent soundscaper

I thought your videos were free? Why is it I always end up spending money after watching them? Bugger you Doug!!! X
Really like this type of review! Would have liked to see a little soundscape recorded using all of these.
Great stuff Doug, got all these except infinite and layr, but they are now on the wish list!

How do you connect though your Ipad? Firewire or 1/8?

Completely agree with the elections. I love the apeSoft and Motion Soundscape apps. I would include some Moog apps and Borderlands.
Thanks for helping me find great apps! How do you get the infinite app? It says It’s not available in my region or country
Outstanding. I bought 3 of them after seeing your Video.
Interesting. Of these I have only Mitosynth, so I’ll have to check out a couple of the others. Nice vid.
Do you have any Windows are android apps like this are you just focusing on iOS

Need a list of similar apps that are free. 😁
I like these also
I have a lot of these already but LayR looks to be my next purchase. I hope my Ipad Air 2 can hold all these. 32 gigs.

@@kaanerdem4365 Definitely been thinking of buying the Pro.
And now... that 10.5 64 GB Pro is becoming obsolete. And so it goes..
Love the cow

Sparkle for cross-synthesis
Hi, I'm really new to iPads and Music Making Apps. How are you actually playing the Apps from a keyboard? Is there an adapter to get into the iPad?
Jonathan Redman If you have a usb midi keyboard you can connect it using an Apple Lightning to usb 3 camera adapter

Is TC apps good for This I have TCperformer lite and i wanna know
If you mean the TC-11 Apps then yes you are right, they are fantastic for this kind of experimental music
You can pull down on the screen and search for an app
Greatest tip ever. I am shocked how few people use this. All I ever use even when I pretty much know where stuff is
👍😊😍... interesting share . thank you ... 👍😊😍
Can you slice the cough from fieldscaper and send it to me so I can experiment with the classic Doug Woods cough !
Dictum1 love this comment. Funny as hell
