Fred and George were like brothers to Harry in the books. The way they defended Harry from the rogue bludger, yelling at Wood for putting his life at risk and how Harry consoles the twins after Ginny was taken to the Chamber is very wholesome. Facial expression/body language/vocal tone are all forms of contextual information, but language itself only has meaning through context. I'll freely admit visual mediums have the advantage when it comes to physical expression and the emotional resonance it facilitates, but written story telling has a massive advantage with depth and breadth, and also the ability to exist inside the characters heads, hearing their inner thoughts and feelings.
Both are wonderful forms of storytelling with their own merits.

@☆HannahBanana the Bookworm☆ #StarsOfTartarus That it is, and not only do the readers (us) think it's cool with details like this, but when I write and include details that draw upon elements from earlier books, not only do I feel my universe is more connected, but I also feel I keep the earlier books "alive" so to speak 🙂 And nice to meet you, fellow writer! May I ask where you are from and what you write? I'm from Denmark and I write what I call shonen fantasy, in that my books feel like reading a manga or playing a videogame. They are about a group of young adults going on adventures to repeatedly save the universe and all of existence.

Maybe, when Lily attended Hogwarts there wasn't the rule that could forbid casting spells outside Hogwarts by minors? We know from Petunia, if I remember right, that Lily used magic when she was at home (and she could do it when she turned 17). I also have the other version. We know that The Trace helps to find the place where some minor casted a spell, but not the person. Snape who lived in almost the same territory as Lily comes from a magic family (his mother is pureblood), so The Trace in their region was useless. The Ministry of Magic knew that Eileen Snape (an adult wizard) was living there, so she uses magic everyday.

I've always theorized that the technical oversight was due to the institutional discrimination against muggle-borns, since a lot of the underage magic laws generally favor those from magical ancestry. You can't even trace underage magic if it's performed in the near distance of wixens who are of age, - but if you're a muggle-born, or living with them, you'll either receive a warning, suspension or expulsion depending on the severity. It's a scheme to root out the muggle-borns, there's no way It's not, the system is way too faulty

After I understood the vanishing cabinet's importance, I realized that Harry was merely centimeters away from closing the cabinet's door and ending up in Hogwarts. Now that would've been a fun event. That short scene at Borgin's shop introduces a lot of seemingly unimportant items that become crucial later.
Also a great piece of fun that Harry's signature spell was taught to him by Snape. Just how Barty Crouch Jr taught him how to resist the Imperio. Sometimes Harry learns more from his enemies than from his mentors.

In regards to Lucius attempting a Killing Curse on Harry, one way to make the scene work is to imagine that he was going to curse Dobby, and Dobby just assumed it was aimed at Harry. It makes sense. Dobby was Lucius's house elf, so he metaphorically (and possibly literally) knows where the bodies are buried. And given that house elves have no rights, Lucius could get away with killing Dobby. Even if being a free elf meant Lucius couldn't just kill him, Lucius could simply deny having ever set Dobby free. It would be his word against Harry's, and the authorities probably wouldn't bother doing any kind of investigation on behalf of an elf.

When Dumbledore says that chamber is opened again, McGonagall asks "Who" and Dumbledore interrupts and says that question is not "Who?" but "How?". It is a big difference than movies to show that Dumbledore is aware that Voldemort is heir and he's the one that can open the chamber.
Also, when Harry is explaining what happened, he is leaving out the part about Ginny opening the chamber of secrets to not get her into trouble, and Dumbledore asks something like "I just don't know how Voldemort enchanted Ginny into opening it when my sources tell me he is hiding in the forests of Albany" causing Harry to realize that Dumbledore is totally aware about what happened.

Also, after the basilisk died. Tom Riddle was willing to fight Harry himself, as he became "real" enough to use magic with Harry's wand. Then Fawkes saved the day once more by throwing the diary next to Harry.
Also the book did a much much better job at explaining the attacks. In the book, every attack happened close to Myrtle's bathroom. The movie didn't show that except for the cat. "Pipes", the clue left by Hermione just means the basilisk is hiding in the chamber or in the walls most of the time and it can only come out from Myrtle's bathroom.
The way the movie depicted it, it felt like the basilisk could attack anywhere, as if it was able to somehow come out of the walls or something. Which didn't make sense, because if it could do that, they would be a lot more attacks
