No no coge bien el gancho. Tiene defecto porque hace punto. El gancho no se coge así además para gente que no sepa va muy rápido no la podrán seguir bien.
I lost your video this morning but found it again. Thank Heavens!!! I’m making this in black for my son. Thank you for this pattern. I love it. I would love to make this beanie in the two color combos you’ve used. That yarn is gorgeous!
Your tutorial on increasing is the best. The only video that makes sense to me. I made this beanie with Lion Brand Mandala, but I doubled the yarn to make it bulky. It is my new favorite beanie. I am making more. Thank you for such a clear video tutorial.
I’ve made so many of these! People keep asking to make them one. I used a bernat velvet yarn, The hat comes out very nice. I put my own leather tag it looks great best pattern I have ever made to date and it works up quick. Thank you for the wonderful tutorial.
You saved Xmas for me. I have 2 friends wanting slouchy beanies but all the other videos I’ve found are bottom up and I prefer top down - cleaner top, IMO. Also, I just happened to have 3 skeins of scarfie yarn on hand! I’ve made one with teal silver and it turned out beautifully! I screwed up a bit and chained 2 before each front post back post row but I don’t think it affected the finished product, I’ll be more mindful of that with the next one! The only conscious change I made were a couple extra rows of front post back post at the end, for a total of 5 rows for the brim. Thanks so much for posting this!!
What a fabulous pattern! Thanks so much for sharing. I can confirm this exact pattern works perfectly also with worsted weight no. 4 yarn. I did it with the same hook size and same number of increases and same length using Lion Brand Landscapes yarn and it came out beautifully. My friend wanted a slouchy hat and it fit her perfect, so yes, you can use number 4 weight yarn, too. It looks lovely with Scarfie, too.
Who's the monster that gave this video a thumbs down? Thank you so much for this tutorial! I'm an advanced beginner getting back into crochet and this is just what I was looking for.
I really like this slouchy beanie pattern , I wish I could see how it looks on you. I am still going to try it though. I am making hats and fingerless gloves for the girls at work for Christmas gifts. I love making hats and shawls cant wait to try this . Thank you so much for the tutorial
Sorry! I usually try to film a clip with me wearing it, but I must have forgotten with this one. It’s a slouch fit! And would look so cute with a Pom Pom! 😉
Awwww, thank you for the quick reply.I really do want use the pom-pom, I cant wait to see how cute it comes out. Thank you again Lori . Have a great weekend:)
That's impressive how you're able to crochet with the yarn in your right hand rather than your left hand. Usually, when you crochet, you hold the yarn in your left hand rather than your right. I actually knit so when I transitioned from crochet to knitting, I learned how to knit continental rather than the English.
I definitely had no idea it was weird until I put my first videos out! It’s interesting how everyone does everything a little different. Crocheting this way actually made my transition to knitting easier. I am horrible at continental!
Thanks. Great pattern. Is your camera behind you over your shoulder or in between your legs? I crochet and can't figure out how to properly record so I can make some tutorials
Where can I get a written pattern that I can print please ? I love to have one to follow in between watching the video I hate to have to log in every time it blacks out 😉
Unfortunately the only place I have the written copy is on my blog (linked in the description). You could probably copy and paste that to a document or note and print from there.
Finally a beautiful beanie! So happy to see someone else who holds there yarn the same as I do
I’ve never seen anyone crochet like you do!!!! Amazing!
It's really fascinating to me how you hold your hook and working yarn. I think it's pretty cool
Kim Wheeler I agree! It looks like she’s a knitter at heart. I could watch her crochet all day just to see her yarn over.
I've never seen anyone crochet like this before. It actually seems pretty efficient!

Lori, thank you for doing this video. Your hat is so easy and fun to make.

I would have never thought to make this in the velvet yarn! Thanks for sharing, you made my day! :)

Love this beanie. I made it yesterday with Yarn Bee Dazzling. It was so much fun and it looks great. Thank you for the tutorial.

I love her!!! She is a fabulous teacher!!!
Idk but it would be nice to have the stitch count. Im assuming the chain 2 counts as a stitch?
Omg!!! I love the way you hold and work your stitches...would love to be able to switch method... and you tutorial is great...thank you kindly..
Interesting how you hold your working yarn. I don’t think I’ve seen that before. Think I’ll try this cute pattern. Thanks
A knitter first who learned to crochet, so she's throwing it like you would in English style knitting.
I actually learned to crochet about 5 years before learning to knit!
Just made mine. Thank you

Just found you site. Love it! Is this pattern available for print? Thank you Kelly from the Outer Banks of NC.
I'm jealous how you can hold you're yarn and hook at the sametime while working on the beenie
This is my favorite beanie pattern
Thanks, really enjoyed this pattern.
If I wanted to make a large adult size would I increase the stitches in the magic ring or increase the first set of rows?
You would continue in the increase pattern until the circle is big enough to cover the crown of the head!
thanks for tutorial love the pattern is there a scarf to go with this hat pattern love it so easy thanks

Around how many yards/oz does this use? Thanks
I hold my hook and yarn the same way! 🥰🥰
You should have said how many rows. After the front and back post dc rows, then double crochet, then double crochet in the back loop only??
I’ve loved following along with this but I’ve done something wrong, the top of the hat isn’t sitting dome like it’s almost like a top hat :/

Now I know of two people that crochets by holding their yarn in their working hand. ❤️
Does anyone know if the CH2 is counted as a stitch?
It does NOT count as a stitch! ☺️
Thank you 😊
BTW I love this pattern
I wouldn't be able to crochet that way. That would be confusing. But each person is different.
Great
I made this hat and it looks amazing!!!! Thank you sooo much
I could only focus on how u hold ur yarn lol
I get that a lot. Loo
More than half way through and this hat is going to be way too big for sure..using same hook and same yarn..huge
She tells you in the video how to make it smaller.
