When I was a teenager in the late 1980s, I used to tune into the college radio station at 10:00 pm and listened into the wee hours of the morning to the Mats. So fun to find out Tommy likes the Cocteau Twins!

So kool it is to hear a member of one of my all-time top-fav bands expound on his favorite music and how he came to love the artists and the given albums and the role those albums played in his life and how that impact evolved over time -- especially the story about the connection between the Cocteau Twins album and his daughter's birth and early life!

Last year my nephew played me some Lana Del Rey & I said yeah it's cool, sounds like this band I remember from the 80's called the Cocteau Twins, played some for my nephew & he was like wow, really cool. Tommy Stinson starts talking about Lana & I think wouldn't it be funny if he was a Cocteau Twins fan when he was playing for the Replacements . . . turns out he was.

Nice, I literally just started to get into The Replacements! Idk how it took me so damn long to get around to it, I've only been listening to their contemporaries for nearly 17 years (I'm 30, going on 31), and always heard good things about them, but literally did not listen to them till last month, after I was convinced to listen to the albums "Let It Be" and "Tim"... My only regret it that I hadn't started listening to them as a teenager. Fucking brilliant ✌🏼
