He invented himself very well. Every aspect calculated and composed. Nothing he did was by accident. His talent complements his composure and intellect beautifully. An inimitable combination never to be repeated
This show he was opening for John Lee Hooker. Tickets were $1.25. My favorite 2 musicals artists ever. Wish I could have been there but I was busy being born. 20 years late.
Gosh.. there was such speed in that rhythm guitar during certain sessions .. it just blows my mind,,,, it can hardly be contained! But it never loses it's track .. Janey
The Freewheelin was a brilliant album. Don't Think Twice, It's Alright, Girl From The North Country, Master's Of War, A Hard Rains A Gonna Fall, Bob Dylan's Dream, Oxford Town. His first of many classic albums.
My record collection was dispersed years ago but I can see the cover of this album with Bob and Suzy Whatever Her Name Was walking in the Village. In my suburban bedroom I thought someday that will be My Grownup Life.
Thank you so so much for uploading this, I'm so happy and grateful that you did! I've been looking for this exact version for ages and finally I found it! Hats off to you.
@@winstonenglish285 Thanks Winston. Chapter 3. Is God sentimental. No. Dylan sentimental. No. Bob tells it like it is. God tells it like it is. Amen to that.
This is actually VERY CLOSE to the version Im looking for, but it's not exactly right. The one Im trying to find is live footage of a very young Bob and it opens with him performing the intro on his harmonica. It gets deleted off youtube once in awhile but it's SUCH a perfect performance. Anyone know how to find what Im talking about?
For anyone looking, your best bet is to search Bob Dylan Don't Think Twice Live (Don't Look Back Outtakes). It gets deleted constantly so I can't give you a link but that always brings it up for me on google search.
Doesn't Bob play this finger picking style on the album recording? I wonder at which point he decided to change his approach? Maybe after hanging out with Joannie?
@henryzhao4622 Clearly Bob played it and he probably got that finger picking style from Joanne. Although. All his Greenwich Village contemporaries played that style as well.
Grew up listening to Bob Dylan, thanks to my dad, who sadly passed on in 2022.
I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you are doing well in Life
60 years on, this song stills kills me

One of the greatest songs written in my lifetime. Thanks for posting this.
Dylan will have many more, well deserved, fans after the recent film Complete Unknown.
Imagine not having heard this song for years and years and years

The only album to showcase the true folk Dylan.

@@golden.lights.twinkle2329 No, I don't agree. Another side of Bob is pretty folk, as are the self-titled debut and times they are a changin

+igpx666420 did you have any luck? If it's a black and white shot from behind left, clear, good sound, that is what I'm looking for.
+igpx666420 isnt it the one from bootlegs vol. 6?
+Joaquim Azevedo no it's not ..
Laura Fernandez
yeah that's the one. no luck yet.

sound quality could be better but I remember when it hit the street on an LP
She’s looking out the window at the bird and that bird is lookin down towards the road.
Why misrepresent this as a "live" performance?
It's just a slide show. Why would you lie to us?
A most uncommon folk.
1962? When did he start making records
Are you still doing music?
Doesn't Bob play this finger picking style on the album recording? I wonder at which point he decided to change his approach? Maybe after hanging out with Joannie?
People say that Bruce Langhorne played on album version
All the people who never heard of Bob Dylan until the movie ought to be ashamed of themselves... lol jk but only a little
😊😊😊
Who recorded this? It's great but I wonder about this....
I have no clue
I gave her my heart but she wanted my cigs.
I prefer the finger picked version even though Dylan didn't play it!
I think he did , check out other live versions with him fingerpicking
Yes he did play it...know your song well before you start singing buddy. 😅😂

great song but the music is soff with the words here missmatch
Who cares?
