    Thank you for this primer. I needed to know how to organize voice memos. I'm partially blind, and needed this step by step instruction!

    Great tutorial, how to move manually the voice memos within a folder to put them in another order?

    • @TheMacWhisperer
      @TheMacWhisperer  17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Unfortunately, there is no way to manually move the files around in the folder... yet.

    Very good. What I want to do is use the voice memo as a transcriber by syncing with my secretary's I Mac. Then she can delete when finished with the memo. How do I sync this with iCloud?

    • @TheMacWhisperer
      @TheMacWhisperer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's a little complicated since you won't want to log her iMac into your entire Apple ID. Better to share the memos with her and let her transcribe them. Also, there are several voice recording apps that will transcribe for you (I like iTranscrbe) saving you a step.

    Hi, thank you for making the video. Is it possible to put the files in a different order, or is each file strictly in time date order? Thank you

    • @TheMacWhisperer
      @TheMacWhisperer  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Unfortunately there’s no sorting options so it’s going to be in the date order… But you can always move the ones you’re looking for into separate folders to keep them organized. Not ideal… Maybe they’ll update it in the future.

    Use Siri by saying "Siri take a voice memo" and she will open up the app and you can talk. I believe you still have to hit the stop button but this is easier than having to key in all the instructions. Have Siri do the work.
    If on an iPhone 15 you also can leave the action button for something else.

    I found a better way to record voice memo's was to do it from the apple watch!

    • @TheMacWhisperer
      @TheMacWhisperer  21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      For sure, doing voice memos on the watch is a great tool. My only issue is holding my arm up so the watch is in a good position to hear the voice memo properly… Instead of setting my phone on the table and using that or my computer.
      There's nothing wrong with using voice memos on the watch… but it doesn't have the same capabilities with editing or sharing easily. The watch screen is just too small… But it's great for capturing the audio.

    I have been using voice memos for a while. I have learned even more by watching this video. Can you expound on using Voice Memos completely hands free? I have tried it using a Shortcut but it’s hit or miss from time to time. I have also tried it while using Voice Control. Just looking for a simpler hands free method. Thank you 🙏🏿

    • @TheMacWhisperer
      @TheMacWhisperer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There's two basic ways to do it...
      1) Ask Siri to Start (or record) a voice memo. It will immediately begin recording.
      2) If you have an iPhone 15 pro you can set up the action button to automatically start a voice memo (I know, not completely hands free... but close).

      @@TheMacWhisperer How about stopping the recording (iPhone 14)?

    • @TheMacWhisperer
      @TheMacWhisperer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think you will need to touch the phone for that.... or you can turn on Voice Control which can allow you to do ANYTHING handsfree.
      I have voice control set up as a shortcut when I click the side button 3 times.... but you can also have Siri turn it on. It's a powerful tool, so be careful!!!

    Great video…. How would you be able to edit and connect several together and export them outside the mac os - mp3 maybe ? Many can’t play mine if i send them

    • @TheMacWhisperer
      @TheMacWhisperer  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s not something that I’ve had to do… But if you have a Mac, I would use GarageBand to collect the separate pieces together and then export it as an MP3 and you shouldn’t have any problem. Let me know how that works for you.

    • @TheMacWhisperer
      @TheMacWhisperer  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Technically speaking you should even be able to use GarageBand from an iPhone or an iPad and do the same thing, but it would be easier on a computer for sure.
