Dart Zone actually released a hybrid dart with the Dart Zone Pro Mk 3 that has the body of the Bamboos and the head of the Max Darts. In addition, Worker released its own take on a "Bamboo" Dart with theirs having an additional full - diameter ring in the middle of the body. Would love to see you review those too because your dart tests are so thorough and well - explained.
I have only really found bamboo rings have an increase in performance in poorly designed blasters with bad air seals. It's the reason I tested Bamboos in this video vs Adventure Force Pro which both have the same dart tip.
@@BradleyPhillipsYT oh, well that makes sense lol. In my test max Stryker darts were the best. But theoretically they would be more influenced by the wind due to the lower weight.
@@BradleyPhillipsYT makes sense. I'm just trying to wrap my head around how the Workers in this video shot with consistently more velocity despite having the same weight and being given pretty much the same amount of compressed air (same blaster being used).
Worker actually sell two ring and three ring versions, I believe the next test should also include Dragon darts the Nerf Ultra looking ones and I have seen Bamboo Dragon style darts on Taobao
@@AudieS23 Some different names being used around the place - seems to have settled on Gen 2 now. Man the new Workers are seriously impressive. I thought you simply couldn't manufacture foam to be that consistent. Also love the sneaky jab at Hasbro at 17:10 😁
The Worker outperforms on the Chrono tests in velocity and consistency by so much, you really have to confirm it with a larger sample size. 5 shots is nothing, especially in determining consistency. We really need 40-50 chrono shots compared to 20+ shots from the others. With just 5 shots you cannot tell if Workers can have outliers like that 250 from the AF Pro. If those results hold up, I would be interested to see if it is a function of working well at high pressures and velocities. I wonder if the others work best in blasters tuned to get under a 200 cap or the Nexus level 150ish blasters. It really is a different game at those 250-280 levels.
I've found the DZ Max darts have a tighter fit in looser barrels and tend to average about 10 fps higher than the AF Pros. However, in tighter barrels, such as 17/32" brass, the Max darts are a little too tight and average about 10 fps lower than AF Pro darts. These were achieved with blasters hitting in the 150-180 fps range.
The barrel used here was a "loose" 13mm barrel, but all of the Dart Zone variants performed the same.

Awesome video, thanks! This confirms my own testing this year, except for one thing. My red darts are far more variable in weight than all the other ones ranging fro, 0.923g to 1.196g all the others only had a .035g variability on average. I weighed 100 of each kind that I randomly grabbed from several different packages I ordered over the past few months. I live in California and have picked up a lot of different half length darts from local stores and online orders. When I started testing the newest worker darts I picked up, I noticed the difference from all the other darts immediately! in my HvZ full auto flywheelers to my sniper springers and HPA blasters, they just have that '10% edge' over the other darts, and it just makes me smile knowing I paid about 2/3 the cost per dart I send flying. You're dead right about white being the optimal clean up color, although I do like darts that have luminous heads -ones that glow under a blacklight. I play in the same field I walk my dogs, so in the evening I bring a UV flashlight along with me and find all the darts I missed during the day. Try it if you want to find Hyper rounds. Get a blacklight flashlight that you can focus into a nice bright beam (found mine on Amazon) then go out just after the sun goes down and shine it at the grass... Hyper rounds and the heads of most darts glow brights like fireflies in the grass.
Apparently Max darts can have some out of the box damage due to being crushed in the packaging. Mine didn't have this, but if foam is missing could account for the variation in weight.
The first batch of Max darts available at Target on release were really inconsistent in quality. A lot of them had damaged foam or spots where the foam as compressed. They got better after the first month or two.
Hey Brad. Is your target angled to your firing position? I noticed that the ricochets all went to the left. It’s could be the angle or the spin imparted on the dart due to rifling. Just curious. Great video
Yes target is Walmarts competitor so to sell in both Dartzone has the adventure force line for Walmart, and sells other blasters directly under the Dartzone line at Target. Also In Canada we have Walmart but not a lot is shipped to them so u cant get AF pros at them :/
thanks for the thorough testing! i love this kind of "nerf science" that seems all too rare these days. some comments/questions: * you noted that the workers' FPS range was markedly tighter than the other darts you tested; do you have data for the standard deviation of the chrono results? i find stdev is very useful in ballparking a dart's consistency, but it seems to be an under-reported statistic. honestly, I'd rather have a dart that flies at 200 FPS every single time over a dart that could fire anywhere between 200 and 250 FPS. if you know exactly where your dart will go, aiming is that much easier! * i understand that you're a busy man, but i would love to see some larger sample sizes. the range tests in particular seem like they could use more data to ensure accurate results. * have you since tested the new worker darts loaded in a properly functioning magazine? i can't help wonder if the fact that they were loaded differently from the other darts perhaps contributed to their supposedly superior accuracy. i noticed that a few of the other darts seemed to misfire, hitting much lower or much higher on the target compared to the majority - maybe the auto-prime didn't chamber them properly, whereas breech-loading/semi-manual acutation eliminated that variable? it's difficult to compare the results of the tests when one of them was not performed under the same conditions as the others.
I've since used the Workers in the CRS100 manual spring blaster and they're just as accurate in that blaster too. As for the blaster loading the darts, there's no difference in how it chambers them, just a sensor detecting my release of the trigger vs my finger pushing a button on the side to do the same thing.
id love to see how some homemade stefans go; I will be making some soon with some metal bb’s as weight to put each dart at over 2 grams, Im hoping to get to longer ranges and have darts less affected by wind. Having a solid foam core should also mean the dart heads will not be blown off

Are there worker darts with softer tips? we like to shoot at 300fps but the darts can leave welts on your skin. Is there a dart with a softer tip? Also has anyone shot the glow in the dark darts from worker ? do they work well?
Interestingly my grey/orange workers have a denser foam which is significantly tighter in the barrel, unfortunately this translates to much lower fps in all my blasters (swift, Alpha kit longshot, lynx with Worker, Jet and Monkeemod barrels)

Edit: Upon reading the comments I realize that it may be that the DZMs I bought were from the first production run hence their thicker and inconsistent size to the others. I'll snag another recent pack to see if they do better with brass. Thanks for the upgraded guide! I myself find using these darts (minus the Worker "Gen 4") for separate barrel types. For my Aeon Pro with its brass breech, I run bamboos or AF Pros because of their ever so slightly thinner OD making them good for tight barrel fits. The DZ Max darts actually need quite a lot of firing through brass in order to shave off or compress their foam to fit in brass, as they have the most friction in tight barrels. For that reason, I use DZMs in looser barrels such as my Skewer's Kuryaka barrel, Conquest Pro, and worker half-dart kit Slingfire!

“All darts suck besides short darts” is basically this video lol
Not exactly an incorrect statement, to be fair.
Jesus my caliburn is deccapping my workerdarts more shots than not
Old version workers and what is your barrel made of?
Don't nerf anymore but I doooo love me some high quality videography.
I thought Dart Zone is owned by the American company Prime Time Toys…

Awesome 👌 👏 👍
This is great testing, but it's so far removed from what most people recognise as Nerf. 300 fps blasters hitting a 40cm spread at 30 metres? It's like having a watch that only loses one second per year and is waterproof to a depth of 500 feet... very impressive but not particularly useful. My Timex survives the occasional wash in the shower. 😉
Yeah I don't waste my time with stock Nerf
Where that China dart one
Hey Bradley. In the beginning of the video you state that Dart Zone is Chinese - they are not, they are American.
Prime Time Toys Ltd is based in Hong Kong.
Love love
Nerf vs Airsoft
Hehehehe because of this vid Gen 3 Worker darts are going to sellllll
rival is not bad.... however they need to be heavier.... 'made' some.... they work 'better' :)
Since when is Dart Zone Chinese-owned?
Since Prime Time Toys was first started in 1991.
The US branch was started in 1995.
Read the certificate that came with the Mk1. Bottom right.

Just want adventureforce /dart zone to ship elsewhere
Haven’t watched by here’s my guess
1.Bamboos
2. Max Stryker (better when wind is lighter due to weight)
3. AF vs Worker is extremely close
Haven’t watched but that’s my guest 1 being best 3rd being worst
Very wrong but to be fair I expected bamboos to be better
@@level30boss27 same, I heard that bamboos where the best form of ammunition by so many people but that doesn’t really seem to be the case. I put max Stryker darts as second because in my testing they where better (however it was only a spring spacer max Stryker, I’ve yet to test a tighter barrel) and then AF (I don’t know why I said the worker one was equal) especially since it has much better glue, and then worker.
@@level30boss27 I was surprised to see how the new worker darts performed in this video, I really did not expect thar
He is like the one dude who repeats everything famous ytber say 💀
Need to zero that scope out.
I'd have to do it every time I film a video with a different blaster. Easier to just "do it in post" lol
@@BradleyPhillipsYT, true but in this case a little windage would of made for a lot of bullseyes!
Rival isn't terrible though, lol
How have you gotten it to perform like these darts?
@@BradleyPhillipsYT not nearly tbh, LOL! I think the problem is I've never used the brass barrel guns like the ones that you've adapted. Then I guess saying rival's good compared to nerf is like saying getting a d in class is better than f, lol. I'm able to be pretty accurate with rival though
@@BradleyPhillipsYT do you have blueprints for a brass barrel gun? I want to create one, but to be honest don't have the shaddiest clue how, haha
@@BradleyPhillipsYT may I also add that rival has nowhere even close to the range of this gun, so my personal experience with accuracy is within 5 meters give or take.
Real ones know mega xl are the best darts
worker is the best and i knew it, we can get all kinds of worker darts
