Chad Craig, elementary music teacher/percussionist, shares his gift of drumming to kids

Chad Craig is an elementary music teacher/percussionist and has been performing and teaching in SW Florida for the last 29 years. He has music education degrees from Indiana University and State University of NY at Fredonia. At IU, Chad studied drumset with Kenny Aronoff (John Mellencamp) and Timpani with Gerald Carlyss (Philadelphia Orchestra). He has studied African drumming with Sowah Mensah and Francis Kofi and Ghanaian xylophone with Bernard Woma and Dr. Kay Stonefelt.
He has been a World Music Drumming staff member since 2008 where we teach music teachers around the world the benefit of Drumming. The WMD curriculum is aimed at raising students' listening skills, respect, cooperation, teamwork and self-discipline through African, Caribbean and Latin drumming. His current focus is writing curriculum for D.U.G (Drumming Up the Gospel). Leading students Wednesday nights and at VBS at his church in learning scripture through drumming. He is blessed being a Deacon at Covenant Church of Naples where he is in charge of the Widow and Widower ministry.
