    Beautiful and lovely! I’m in zone 7b and grew seeds last fall. I had flowers all winter thru freezing ice and 8in of snow then I trimmed them back the end of Feb and are surprisingly thriving with huge flowers. I plant them all in fabric grow bags except one combo flower pot in a plastic bowl. It’s struggling so I’ll try putting it in a fabric pot to see what happens. I’m a less than novice gardener so if Anything survives me is a miracle. Even my husband calls me an accidental gardener. Thank you for taking the time to share.

    Love Pansies and grow a few punnets every year.
    Haven't grown my own yet.
    But was frustrated with last year's store brought one's. They were leggy not like the usual ones I've grown.

    • @TowardGarden
      @TowardGarden  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      yes, it is convenient and quicker to get seedlings from store, but growing from seeds is very fun and rewarding. Avoid nitrogen rich soil for a less leggy plants. Thank you very much for your comment!

    Wonderful! I started my flowering journey with the most easiest to grow, sunflowers. After having a huge success, i started on celosia plumosa, carnations, cosmos, all of those are one hardy flowers and survived quite awhile. But, afterwards got infested by caterpillars.
    Didnt stop my journey though and now iam looking to expand my collection on flowers. My next would be pansy, it look like some kind of grumpy grandpa, but i like it perosnally!

    • @TowardGarden
      @TowardGarden  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So glad you love the videos😊. I usually don't let my seed mix dry out. But I don't water it before sowing seeds. I just water the surface since there is no roots yet. Will try to post a video on how to water seedlings soon. Thank you so much for your comment!

    I just used your Amazon link to add the 6 inch plastic orange pots. Where can I buy the green seed starter in this video? Do you sell the wooden soil tamper? What size is the squares in the soil screener? 1/8"? 1/4"? 1/2"? etc? Is that soil sifter sold online if someone does not have the home workshop to build one? I did not see the orange 6-cell seed tray. What is the watering holding tray under the 6 cell?

    • @TowardGarden
      @TowardGarden  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! Thank you for supporting my amazon page 😊 The green seed tray is from Greenhouse megastore www.greenhousemegastore.com/collections/trays-flats/products/mini-seed-tray-with-holes?_pos=45&_fid=312d1194b&_ss=c . You can find similar tray on IKEA too, just need to add holes www.ikea.com/us/en/p/nojig-organizer-plastic-beige-70457487/ . The square soil sifter, I made it myself. The mesh size is 1/4". Depending on how much you want to spend, you can find similar sifters on amazon amzn.to/3weVaIb , or amzn.to/3OFS2es . The orange trays is from my local garden center, sorry I don't have a link but any 2"x2" seed tray will work. And the watering tray is from IKEA which apparently is being discontinued. Here is a similar item on amazon amzn.to/4bNukqS . Hope this helps and thank you for your support.

      "The green seed tray is from Greenhouse megastore"currently waiting on inventory & shipping starts after 2/25.Free shipping over $149. Do you remember what you had ordered from Greenhouse megastore to make shipping cost effective, items purchase cost should exceed shipping cost to Texas Zone 9b?@@TowardGarden

      @TowardGarden  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@wendyward2585 Yes sometimes it is backordered. yes the shipping can be expensive, I usually order other stuff too so it is more cost effective for me. but you can use any tray 2" deep.

    What temperature the seeds must be to sprout 🌱. Would outdoor😮oor dabble of sun to shade work? Beautiful pansies.

    • @TowardGarden
      @TowardGarden  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Check video @1:18 where I included the temperature 62-68F (16-20C) . The seeds need light to germinate, if outdoor, then avoid direct sunlight. Put seed tray in a part shade or under a shade cloth. Hope this helps and Thank you so much for your comment!

    I usually plant pansies in November. When should I start the seeds?

    • @TowardGarden
      @TowardGarden  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It depends on the weather. If you plant them in November I suggest to start in August (or in late summer for mild winters). Thank you for your comment!

  • @ourbeach4001
    @ourbeach4001 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    How much were you watering before you transplanted and then after?

    • @TowardGarden
      @TowardGarden  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Watering depends on the weather. For both stages the key is to keep the soil moist, but not soggy. I usually water my plants (and seedlings) every other day. If it is hot, I water my pots every day. hope this helps and thank you for visiting!

    • @TowardGarden

      @@1ladygail I think you can start them now, but don't keep them in a very heated area. They prefer cool climate specially after germination. happy growing!
