    Why this works: You are basically making baking soda/superglue plastic reinforced with springy gluten rebar.
    Ramen noodles are made with kansui water, an ingredient you can buy in a lot of Asian markets. Kansui is water mixed with potassium and sodium bicarbonate, and you use it to regulate the acid/base ratio in noodles. It will also give the noodles that 300-year-old parchment look and springy texture. The stuff I use when I make ramen is baked (concentrated) sodium bicarbonate and water. There's recipes all over the place.
    Please be careful with the concentrated sodium bicarbonate. They call kansui "lye water" for a reason. Rinse with water, and wipe down with a cloth covered in vinegar if you get some on your skin. Do not let children or dogs roll in it.

      @MKempICI 3 ปีที่แล้ว +39

      Two more quick thoughts:
      1) Absolutely do not eat this stuff. As I said above, it is basically plastic. Plastic made with cyanoacrylate glue, where cyano- means cyanide.
      2) If you applied a latex sealant to this stuff before you started painting it, this stuff could actually stick around for years. I see no reason you couldn't enjoy your cyanide-flavored Ramen terrain for a decade.

      @@MKempICI While it is true that cyano means cyanide. It doesn't mean that cyanide will be liberated if you eat it. Cyanoacrylate is used as a medical glue. Cyanocobalamin is Vitamin B12. It has a cyanide moiety in it, but is of course harmless as a water soluble vitamin

    When I started watching this I thought it was the silliest video ever, another click-baity attempt at our terrain-craving expense to show us something that would have been a waste of time if anyone but a youtube content creator attempted it. But then you kept going, with the flavoring as texture paint, and then the wash, and finally, the poster. That's when I realized I just watched a piece of art. And I have no regrets.
