A little eco-friendly tip: I´ve seen many terrain projects where people fill empty space with perfectly usable materials. So, almost everything you buy (mostly food) comes in plastic bags that go to the trash. If you clean them, let them dry, and save them, when you need to fill something, instead of using cardboard or other material that maybe isn't expensive but it's usable, you can recycle plastic. The oceans will thank you if you do that.
this is a perfect well of ideas for me as I just finished my Esher gang, and those girls deserve a nice home. I also have to make a nice hut filled with metal junk for their lil' ambot buddy.
It'd be a cool experiment to try to do multiple layers of the masking technique, like it's an ancient machine that's had millennia of basic maintenance done to it.
I LOVE that concrete effect. it adds something to the grimdark aesthetic that feels like it always should have been there, but for some reason is rarely included. Amazing job man, especially the weathering effect. Top notch man.
I cannot wait for your 'I quit my job to focus on my channel' video, you are hands down the best crafter. Great personality, great humor, awesome little tidbits of knowledge. Looking forward to seeing much more. (subbed ages ago and subbed to almost every other crafter, like them all as well, but you are the best👍🏻)
I feel like you guys both diverged from the original concept art in some pretty interesting ways. You seemingly took a mess of doodles and slight concepts and turned it into a refined art piece and Miscast took a well-illustrated concept and gave up after the first part and glued an alien under it.
Another home run! As others have pointed out, your weathering is the best in the game, and I consider the drooping wires to be one of your signature moves, I never really saw anyone else integrating that until you came around. You have become an absolute heavyweight in the game in such a short amount of time, I'm always stoked to see a new video in my notifs. Keep up the good work man, we all love it!
Dude! This looks so sick, as always. Your style is so distinct that it’s hard to describe. Your builds fall into that category of industrial that feels like something you’d see outside of a cyber punk city. Loved the build man, I always look forward to seeing your process
late comment, but this is absolutely awesome. The sheer vertical playability is just *chef's kiss*. I hope you get inspired to make another 3 modules to make a full board in this style. So. Good.
I finished the natural bridge you inspired me to make with your last vid. Dry brushing the lighting effects was a genius move. Now I want to build something like this too. You have some of the best builds on the tube.
I wait with anticipation with each new additional video that you have. I have to say you have become one of the premier terrain builders that I follow! thank you for your inspiration to the terrain hobby and many long years of fruitful videos to come.
I really enjoy how you just keep moving on your builds, not trying to reach any particular plateau. Just go until you feel done. And these collaborations are just a great way to spread participation in the hobby because it highlights that there’s no real “right” way to build something, and inspiration can go in many directions. Great job guys!
Eric thanks for the tip on the latex/toothbrush weathering that looks amazing! I want to make some old silo just to test it out on! Such a cool build! We study the blade lol fucking love it I also train in the old ways, defo just got a new fan here and love all these collab videos in the hobby community, please do more!!
Damn, that was cool as hell. I had a big stupid grin on my face for most of this video. It was so much fun to watch. Your rust effects are amazing! Best rust effects I've seen on anyone's channel. Loved this build a lot, thanks for sharing!
Man, what a great way to start my day with each of your videos. I always forget just how much I like both your channel and Mistcast's channel until a new video comes out, then I instantly just want to go build, paint, and try new things.
Been watching BOTH your channel and Miscast from the start. You guys started out good and have just gotten better with every vid. Love how this build turned out.
Superb piece! The only thing I'd add for extra detail would be a tiny chain and hook to that crane, and maybe some sort of dangling broken and rusted piece of machinery hanging from it. That would tell a story of its own!
Epic. This use of that goop you pull off is the best Ive seen for weathering. Ive used it in actual paintings on canvas for detail work, but never thought to use it like this. Very cool...
Use packing tape or painters tape, for some reason resin doesn’t like to stick well to either. Love what you did with the grating, literally said “wish I’d thought of that!”
Great work on this piece Eric! I found your channel a few months back and you've inspired me to get back into the terrain side of the hobby. Keep up the great work :D
Hahaha i was shaking like a leaf doing this. Easy Cast is pretty forgiving as resin goes if you want to dip your toe someday. Except for that one time when i poured it too thick and it started smoking
"We study the blade." - BEST Also, best Patreon pitch I've heard. :) Man, I just always LOVE how projects come ALIVE with that coat of primer. WOW. All that colourful piping, and bits and drabs of card board and plastic suddenly become one beautiful thing! And the paintjob as always, amazing. That crane thingy: WUT?! Crazy cool! Another awesome build.
Is your bits-box for terrain a walk-in closet? You always seem to have so many weird and great items. Really nice build, and your sound quality has gotten so much better! Much love!
Have you seen any of Scratch-Bashing's videos? There is a guy with a bitz warehouse rather than a bitz box :D I actually like the way that Erics uses basic stuff I might be able to get my hands on without having to turn in to a total pack-rat. :D
love the terrain man! I just got back into hobby after a ten year hiatus,, ive been using alot of your tips for building a destroyed industrial structure, you are right like in previous videos its amazing how much time you can spend on such little tasks! i really like how you weather your projects and make it look really easy, thanks for all the awesome content man!
Silicone spray is an excellent release agent. You can buy it at auto stores. Of course a coat of warmed Vaseline works well too. Any petroleum based, not organic based release agent can be used.
100%
Love you nerds
Yes please
This was so cool! Great inspiration and great execution.
fan submitted concept art?
Inspiring! Come over here next year and help me build my Necromunda campaign table!
... and play too, I suppose ;)
Yeah I’m down. I have a cousin who lives in Essex
You better make that video. Or else.
There's an alternate universe where this happened, but alas not this one
I liked how you widened out that granny grate and also the gun-tower. Also I like the resin and the shanty. Also the whole thing is pretty sweet.
Thanks Brent. I was really happy with the grating too.

I genuinely liked this idea.
You are probably the best at weathering these type of projects.
Thanks man! Thats very kind. I have learned a lot in the past year through trial and error and lucky mistakes.
@@EricsHobbyWorkshop you’re the channel I come to when I need some pointer on it.
That “we learn the art of the blade” line made me burst out laughing
I bet that quote will make Bard’s Craft happy!
I love this side of youtube.
The geometry of this build is absolutely killer.
Glad you like it!
I love the part of the video where you gave the dark streaks on the concrete. That's when the realism really started to come out.
this is a perfect well of ideas for me as I just finished my Esher gang, and those girls deserve a nice home.
I also have to make a nice hut filled with metal junk for their lil' ambot buddy.
First timer viewer from miscast! This was a great video! 1+ subscriber!
Nice, welcome!
It'd be a cool experiment to try to do multiple layers of the masking technique, like it's an ancient machine that's had millennia of basic maintenance done to it.
I have been experimenting with that actually!
Awesome! Makes me want to get back into the hobby again.
The siren song of crafting is powerful indeed
Awesome job. I'm not a terrain builder but your stuff is so inspiring. If I had the patience I wouldn't have enough room to store it all.
It's great watching a video and seeing all the other youtubers making comments on it.
Love the build man. I'm a little late getting to these two vids but you guys killed it with this collab. Awesome pieces both of you!!
Thanks Neil!
Awsom see what can grab out of your oldmans Garage or ur Garage & friends mancave
You make it look so easy , turns out awsome everytime realy like the things you make
Thanks ! Glad you like my style of stuff
You can do it too man!
glad I found your channel, been with you since 1500 subs, you are an inspiration for us small channels, keep up your good work.

literally every time you started cutting the foam i got shivers down my back ..
this is unbelievably cool, I love the chain hanging over the waterway, I could instantly imagine players trying to swing across it!

That is great. Hard to believe it is made of foam, cardboard and tubes. Painted and weathered. Outstanding work
Fantastic! This collaboration with Trent makes me feel spoiled. You both accomplished awesome builds that have been a joy to witness.
.....hold on a second, I have to pick my jaw up off the floor. WOW!
Great project all around. Killer paint job and rust effects.
sweet job, man.. that is a piece to be proud of
Great build, love the weathering effect, I need to get a bunch of those plastic pipes they look great in builds =)
My two favorite creators collaborated... fantastic. Great work!
You are one of my favorite builder with Wyloch. Thx for your awesome work.

Love those fetid water effects, they really sell the atmosphere!
Hey hey just finished a desert terrain mat about to start on the rocks tomorrow you video on desert terrain inspired me man cheers
Im always so inspired by your industrial builds, but this one is extra awesome. Plus that was probably the smoothest patreon pitch I've heard yet.

I said Pisa Pencil. Its a high end imported pencil from Italy
