@comeonman7423 Not even close to one month's salary. It's just over one week's salary. They're still utilitarian watches. The "luxury" is pure marketing, and buyers are paying a 10x premium for it. Whatever floats your boat. The intrinsic value of a generic Rolex is about 1300 bucks.
He said it was a months salary, not agreeing to price im just saying. 1300 bucks will still get a quality Swiss made Watch if you believe Rolex is too expensive.
@comeonman7423 Yes, for him. A soldier in 1960. We're talking about two different things, bud. I already have two, an Air King and basic day date. I'm aware I can pick up a solid Tissot, Longines, Oris, etc, or even cheaper Doxa, Zodiac, whatever. I own most of these. The original post was simply stating what the equivalent price is today. If you want to pay the 10x premium for engineered exclusively, then be my guest. Not sure what you're chiming in for.
$120 from 1960 is about $1300 in todays money. Exactly what a Rolex should be selling for.
Imagine!!!!
Or you can say it’s one month salary? Also Rolex was more of a utilitarian brand then, not luxury so that plays a part

imagine working for 2 months and then you can buy a rolex, now that is no longer possible now you can't even buy that watch if you work for a year
Yea it's crazy that a GMT was a months wage for a soldier. If only that was the case now.
You can’t even get a Rolex even if you have the money for it. 🤦🏽♂️
thats why we should normalize rocking with super copy! retail price with exact build quality
Back when rolex actually made a great watch not some over hyped entry level look at me con
