- I love making and building stuff but living in a tiny apartment, space comes at a premium. My bedroom is turning into a mess of a workshop with a bed in it.
The solution? - a platform bed to both hide the workshop behind the bed, and to provide storage for all my workshop needs.
In this video i design and build a platform bed, together with friends to get more storage space and a more functional bedroom.
I live in a single bedroom apartment as well. I moved my bed into the living area and my bedroom is now a dedicated woodwork area.I also have the same circular saw and drill, but I'm not really happy with that circular saw, it hasn't got a really sturdy base, but I will probably get a cheaper corded saw with a sturdier base.
this is absolutely sick! Glad to have found your channel bud, keep it up
Thanks a ton!
Good solution. Ive had my bed on beer crates for years, so much space underneath. Looks like you have a lot more desk space now too, or is that visual illusion?
Anyway; I've moved to Copenhagen recently. If you're looking for a new place to live, I'd be open for a flat share with a workshop in the living room.
By biggest issue now; finding a place where I can have my old campervan close by but not on public road, so I can work on it and unregistering it (so I don't have to pay taxes or insurance).
Hi there - thanks for the reply! - I've actually changed the bedroom and bed again to have a much bigger workshop in there - (video coming soon!) Copenhagen can be a bit hard to find apartments in - and with the need of private roads it doesn't get easier. I know of some places having private parking garages that might allow for unregistering vehicles? otherwise the dream would be a private garage / workshop
@@SorenKoelbaek ah nice, I'm looking forward to seeing that :) May be good inspiration for my next place (current rental contract is expiring).
And yes absolutely, finding a place for me and my van is a nightmare. I'm indeed looking into renting a workshop/garage, but then I'll still need a place to sleep.
So, what do you make in your workshop? I saw your two videos on sound systems. Is that your profession or just a hobby?
@@MaudKonyn It is my hobby - or at least my job pays for that interest ;)
