    People flamed Gomes for this match, but I do have to say that seeing Dalpras attacks get stuffed like this was really impressive. I wish people would look past the fact that there was no scoring move in the match and focus on the tremendous level of jiu jitsu displayed in this bout.

    Awesome breakdown! Your competition strategy insights are great 🧠
    What an incredible performance to get through an insanely stacked bracket. His power is incredible at that weight, even the way he forces through that knee-in-the-middle sweep is just so hard against a stubborn opponent.
    Keep the vids coming, your content is killing it!

    I'm kinda late on this one, but great content as usual, Tyson. I watched Jensen on Who's Next, he was transitioning between brown and black belt, and he was the #1 pick. Maybe a lot people didn't realize he could do it - and I'm not gonna say I did, it would be a lie 🤣 - but it's great to see that we have a lot of great names out there that could put insane Gi matches like they did.
    I think Tainan just took a bit of his own medicine, and it was kinda funny seeing the kids cry, cause they think he's a superman, but even superman sometimes lose, right?
    waiting on the next one, man. see ya, oss!

      Thank you. Appreciate you watching!
      Yeah, I think having people around that can take out these super dominant guys is really good for the sport. It kinda looks bad when we have just 1 person that is that far ahead of everyone. Keeps everything(and everyone) honest.

    Awesome breakdown as always! I saw that reset too and was like WTF!? What was impressive was that Jansen didn't make it a issue and still beat Tainan. It was also very impressive to watch Jansen outscramble Ty, which doesn't happen often, if ever. I also thought Rolando gave Tainan a heck of a battle, even though the score doesn't show well Rolando did.

      Thank you! Yeah, and resets like that a far too common. Its such an easy problem to solve too. Flo is already recording, idk why we cant just look at the footage for resets.
      But yeah, Rolando is a monster. I had a match with him at purple belt. I think he's a really good role model for the next generation too. He put school first, took some time off to do it and still has world class jiu jitsu.

    Man great insights. I watched the whole thing. Btw when I was watching back their old match at purple belt, I noticed what actually caused Tainans knee injury. It was basically a side kneebar from 50/50 disguised as an ankle lock. Just interesting because I hadn’t noticed that before. Did you also notice that?

    • @grapplingwithjiujitsu
      @grapplingwithjiujitsu  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you man! Yeah, it was kind of borderline. The call would be so tough as a ref. I could totally see it looking intentional if the ref wanted to dq him, but its also a slippery slope to being able to dq anyone that hurts someone's knee in 5050.

      @@grapplingwithjiujitsu that’s true. I can see that point 🤔

    I don’t typically sit through the entirety of a 22 min video, but this one I did. Very interesting to have the strategy and tactics broken down alongside just acknowledging the athleticism and talent on display. Jansen has the whole package and will be very hard to beat at MW. LOL at the camera panning to the AOJ crowd after the loss. I’m not a petty person but there is something satisfying about the underdogs beating the favorites.
