I at one point thought about trying to do it due to that as I have played since d2 was released but you do a great job and I feel some void in my life has been filled :P Keep up the great work!

the axe you rolled is a sleeper. it rolled almost perfect (60ed) 10 life leach 19 life, with the additional 40ias. all it needed is a 3 infront of the 60 and it would of been god tier
You can craft pretty gozu gloves with knockback for bowazon (hitpower gloves), caster belts can have fcr so it's a good for getting a little more of it before you can wear Arach, caster boots aside for 3res and frw/fhr can increase your max mana and add some mana regen (i use gozu caster ones on my hammerdin, works pretty well) Caster ring gives allways some mana, ene and mana regen so if you can roll a fcr it's perfect for casters, blood belt is good source of off-weapon LL and life(also OW if you want it), blood boots can have 3res and frw/fhr, LL and life, so if you don't want to use gore riders for meele char those are Very good option imo, Blood ring can have vey high LL (i saw up to 10, can have ML too), life, and str, great replacement for BK, blood amu aside from usual LL and life allways have frw, so it's also good for bowazons, Safety amulet can be a source for additional increased block chance, aside for usual (m)dr stuff Safety shield have very rare 5-10% magic res (capped on char at 10%) I think that is all worthy of mentioning.
nice vid explaining the basics but gotta add some things: 1. just like the website said, any jewel works. tried a shitty rbf just for the heck of it and it worked too. 2. while it is true that only a few recipes are made for endgame builds, crafting may really help you if you got nothing else anyway. 3. while you aren't guaranteed to find the best bases right away, you can always gamble. even if you only get the normal versions of the boots you need its better than farming for hours. 4. there are some other recipes which can yield the best pvp/pvm items in the respective category with enough luck. the most important aside from caster amulets and blood gloves would be blood boots imo. if you get tri res frw boots with enough life they are worth a ton. also caster and blood belts. safety amulets have a niché role but can be good for a javazon if they have good block chance, skills, res, faster attackspeed.
I used to craft blood gloves for my Phoenix Assassin builds. Great choice for melee anyway, but can spawn with extra skills. NYCE. Plus you might be able to see some Amazon gloves if you accidentally roll them.
I think single player with that inventory mod makes this more appealing. I really hope they remaster D2 and take this into consideration. Having a ton of mules and OCD spreadsheets for inventory control takes too much time nowadays lol.
You left out the major part of item crafting, the item level has an effect on what the outcome is of crafted item i think its similar to how magic find works

Got a question online crafting states for a blood weapon , like the axe you're making, that you need to have a magical normal, exceptional, or elite axe but you're clearly using a normal berserker axe that doesn't have any magical properties (since I see not affixes or modifiers). How is this?
I xcraft items since years , pacs of 40 of blood gloves , lood rings , caster amulets , caster rings . For exemple sometimes i craft 120 at one , sometimes 80 or even 40 . I dont trade crafting material so i colect myself . Once i got the pack i start craft but to be honest i never got someting realt good , i remeber 2-3 good blood gloves ( decent wich 15 dex ) and some caster amulet wich not worth realy much but good for using . Always craft with 96-97-98 lvl characters . Any advice ? Any particular about the blue amulets ?
Definitely, I remember going on Mf rounds for weeks & days not finding anything, then I gave up for while. When I returned, within 5 minutes of gaming I found a Jah rune on a dead rogue in Act 1... xD
3PGems and blue item, re-rolls it's properities, but not changes ilvl and item itself, perfect for gambling some gozu skillers from baal/diablo/meph charms.
Irmarinen so does it matter what kind of blue item you combine it with? Or you saying the blue item can be a helm instead of the GC and it will reroll its stats too?
your runing pluggy....craft in 1.07.....you can use any jewel any gem size and any item also, it rolls much much better because the crafting was capped 1.09 example kracken shell ort and ruby will make a blood body (they patched the items in 1.09 and later) with the patch they removed the abillty of of ilvl 73 items being able to roll any axfix available for that gear slot and ability to use about any item to craft

What level are the break points for the items or is there none? What is the best level besides 99 which is almost impossible single player.
If I crafted amulets in early nightmare would they suck? Be low level or have bad stats?

I think you cannot craft there, most of the crafting system started with LoD second or third update
