the most underated cube recipe for new players: 3 magic ring = 1 random magic ammy 3 magic ammy = 1 random magic ring you can get pretty much anything you need very early in the game with this recipe since its rng. thats how I get my early 25%+ mf rings and ammy and my +3 skills ammy

That's always been my biggest problem with runewords - getting runes is the easy part, while finding a proper item and somehow getting proper socken number is crazy...
Takes a few hours of cows to find not just a white AP, DS or MP type armor but a high defense roll with enhanced defense %. It’s rough but then getting the right roll.. they really made it into a good economy because of this.

Thanks for the caster amulet tip. I was struggling through Hell difficulty, especially with my low poison resist. First roll (as a sorceress), I got a caster amulet with +1 barb skills. I thought it was lame at first but then I looked at the poison resist and put it on. I was now full 75 on all resistances for the first time in Hell.

The open sockets you generate depend on what lvl the monster was that dropped it. Some monster levels items only drop max of 2 sockets. System works something like that

No, you can’t repair ethereal items using the horadric cube recipe. A rune word needs to use up all the sockets, so a 3 rune word needs to be placed in an item with 3 sockets or it won’t work.

So I installed diablo 2 on my pc using the original disc I had from the 90’s and the full rejuvenation recipe for 3 health 3 mana and a gem works for me but 3 partial rejuvenation pots doesn’t work. What am I missing?

I know the ilvl of the armor needs to be at least 26 in order to get 4 sockets in the cube, I know that nightmare cows has high enough monsters to drop it but im reading online you can only get them from hell. no unfortunately, thats why doing this is a gamble cause if you find an eth colossus blade and do this your chances of 6 sockets is too low and could completely screw it up and thats a hard item to find. doing the socket quest is the only for sure way to get max sockets in items
If you're going to use the socket recipe on weapons, you particularly use it on the ethereal weapons that you need less than the maximum number of sockets for. Like getting four sockets on an ethereal cryptic axe. Shenk would just make it five sockets. You can also use it on crystal swords for an early spirit sword.
10:14 umm I rolled grief and exile several times :D stopped with grief 40/394 but cant get lucky on exile, like 10 times already and it still sucks. It all depends, got eth bugged ST 45@ so I just want to roll high on it.

@delosombres Maybe the logic is if you can afford a high-end runeword in a high-end base... you can probably pay for the repairs just like in case of expensive cars lol
He uses eth armors to add sockets with the cube. You can make a rune word by that for the weapons he used you can create by that infinity or insight. And for the armor he creates the runeword fortitude. And he uses eth armors because when your mercenary got eth armor equipped the eth armory or weapons cannot be gone or broken while your merc got these items equipped. So always use for your mercenary eth armor and weapons. Never use larzuk quest for adding normal items. With the larzuk quest u can add socket into your own unique gear items to add then later The rainbow facet to maximize your dmg and defense. I would recommend his step how he did this in the video.

If you exclusively farm Mephisto, there is a weapon rack to the side and a super chest behind him. I remember the armor rack dropped a tal armor for me, and have gotten multiple high runes from the super chest. Also from Mephisto himself, and yes.. I have gotten more pole-arms than I can count. You can also try hell cows with little to no magic find, and very fast clear speed. A javazon is perfect for this.

If the items has 1 socket the socket recipe still works? it will give a new socket number or there is a recipe to remove socket and then try again?

For the stash, he uses PlugY mod and the diablo 2 version is 1.13, because 1.14d is not compatible with PlugY mod.
So this is only available for solo play, right? Or can we get the stash mod and play on bnet too?
