I wish there were measurements for us Yankee women! 😜
I am from Brooklyn with Virgin Island heritage and I traveled to Ghana and I am also Vegan. This video is awesome! Please at least tell me how much Palm oil to use. I just made this for the 1st time because I love it so much and Corona got me on lockdown so I can't buy it right now. Mine came out good and tastes great, but yours looked prettier. Please tell me how much oil you used because I will be making this 4ever!!! 🙏🏾❤

Hello I am from Queens NY. My dad is Ghanaian but I haven't been yet. He use to make all kinds of dishes years ago. His wife cooks the food when I go over but it's not the same. lol So, I been making dishes myself. Took me 3 times to get the jollof right. Did you use all the ingredients in this video? I am not vegan but wanted a recipe without all the ingredients I seen. Be well.

The only ingredient I didn't use was the scotch bonnet pepper I used cayenne instead. It really tasted good too!

Kulchagospel hello love, sorry for getting back to you so late. Honestly I don’t really measure anything I cook. I just go with the flow lol. When cooking, if you feel like the oil is too little you can always add more. 😊 I’m glad that you were able to give it a go at first though. Keep it up 👌👌❤️

Alima Wilson you definitely should visit Ghana when you get the chance. You’ll love it. And to answer your question, you can always substitute with what you have. I hope that helps 😊

Too much oil! I'd put just enough to sauté well. ;)

Delicious recipe but a Garden Egg is not the same as Egg plant. We call USA Egg plant an Aubergine in the UK. Looks and tastes very very different.

    • @jkesewa

In America, people do not have the luxury of getting garden eggs, so the next best substitute would be an eggplant. Still does the job just fine with equivalent taste.

Though its vegan, you can add any meat of your choice. It just won't be a vegan meal but I'm sure it'll still taste good 😋
