The British understand why a top handling fighter is important. The wonderful Spitfire was a magnificent all around fighter that stopped German in the Battle of Britain, but too little respect is given the Hurricane which could out turn the BF-109. The Germans learned to never get in a turning battle with Hurricane. They did in fact shoot down the most German planes of the war for Britain. The F-16 is a modern Hurricane for using handling over top speed.

It was 1976 & I was riding my schwinn sting ray through my neighborhood in the Denver metroplex and this plane flew over with with ornage wing & tail tips and I stopped in the middle of the street and stared until I couldn't see it anymore. Wow, Fresh and hot off the press!!!!! Seeing the F-16, an F-15, and then another F-16 really puts it in perspective on how much larger the Eagle is over the Viper. That said, that first turn the Viper took seconds after takeoff really showcases her insane turning ability and proves she is the most maneuverable fighter we have. She's a little dart.
@@MUCSpotter , yep, but none can compete with my F-14D in both performance and aesthetics. She out turns the F-16 and can outclimb any fighter we have. The F-18 was a downgrade in everything other then being self starting, it has updated avionics with easily could have been installed in the Tomcat, and maintenance cost. Don't get me wrong the Rhino is a great airplane , but the F-14D just flys circles around it.

funny thing is my dad is stationed in germany and i was the basketball manager at the base school and we took a long 12 hour bus ride and it was a lot of fun. anyway we were at thier food court and i heard the f15s flying and i was like this is why im here this is my vacation so i took my food sat on the curb and just enjoyed my self and the sound of freedom omg. then the next day i was on the bus waiting to go home and our bus and we were right next to the run way and i was like man what a beautiful place although the kids from there will tell you they have to pause school everytime there is a flyover they stop class. lol life of a military brat. i also dug up a rock from their and took it as a souvenir

I think it’s quite sad about the ignorance of some Americans about independence (not all) but most don’t understand that the US didn’t beat the greatest army in the world, we just surrendered because France was on the US’s side and it would cost lots of money to go to war with France. So if it wasn’t for the french, really the US would still be British

The new engines have smokeless burner cans, but I’m not convinced they pollute less than old engines. Lived on a boat under the approach path to a major airport, and I still had black soot that would appear with every rain storm. In ground school I never asked what was the difference in a smokeless burner can, all I know is I can’t see em out the window like I could 30 years ago. TCAS helps with that.

It is in the UK at RAF Fairford AirBase the Airshow called Airtattoo. Next show will be in July 2021

It's actually the other way around, the KC-135 is based on the Boeing 707 and KC-10 is a McDonnell-Douglas DC-10 derivitive.
