There’s an incomplete airframe near the sight where the one and only An225 was destroyed. From what I could gather, engineers are going to piece together a new An225 from the incomplete airframe and salvaged parts from the smushed plane. In it’s prime, the An225 was used to transport the Boran orbiter much like the 747 carried the shuttles around…..

The owner of the company I worked for at the time had a side hustle, owning 3 planes housed in a separate hangar for charter flights. We often used them to fly down to our other main office in Atlanta. That hangar was next to what I believe were maintenance hangars where I saw it parked on a return flight from Atlanta. It was a same day return flight and it was not there when we had left early that morning.

I think the TU-160 is also the largest plane with variable wing geometry. Fascinating plane, no question. Some of these collossal birds look really good, but others then are quite unusual or straight WEIRD. Though i LOVE the Guppy. It´s cute. From afar.
Is the TU-160 bigger than the B-1? Would be those two for the first 2 spots, then the F-111 then the F-14 I suspect - though I think one of the Soviet fighters might have been as big as the F-14.
