Here's an short video of 2014 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Passenger Airbag indicator lamp goes off after few seconds when the ignition it started on. It's should go off after few seconds when it does the system check. If it doesn't go off & stays on. It's needs to be checked at the local Mercedes-Benz Workshop ASAP.

On a Facelift post Dec 2015 A class. The airbag light remains on when the passenger seat is empty and switches off when occupied. This is verified as correct operation by Watford Mercedes.

Hi Mate, When I Made This Video The Car Was Only Less Than 1yr Old, Yes This is Perfectly Normal. It's only airbag Check System, if the the light stays on (there's an problem) I went into many dealers. There is no fault in this airbag system. On the newer models from 2016. The the light stays on. And I'm sorry I don't drive an C-Class. But it's best to take it in to any dealer for an safe check buddy
I have a 2014 A250 Sport. The passenger seat sensor goes off when the seat becomes hot, and no one is sitting in the seat. Do you have a video or some advice on how to rectify this? The dealership wants to replace the leather seat, which I cant afford. TIA

Yes it's works automatically
Basically you have to lock your glove box and it disables the passenger airbag
There is NO Lock 🔒 for the Glovebox, it's an Normal Thing Told By Mercedes-Benz

@@vipboss82 update, you are right, there is a lock but it doesn’t disable the airbag, just flicks the light for it for a second

Amilcar Ferreira Hi Mate, Yes This is Perfectly Normal. When I made this video. The car was less than 1yr old. It's only airbag check system (if the light stays on - it means there's an problem) I've been into many dealers. They said it's perfectly normal. There's no fault in this airbag system, but you can take your c-class into any dealer for an safe check & piece of mind buddy. By the way. I don't have an C-Class. The newer 2016 models airbag lights stays on
