We have a great immigration system that makes these highly skilled and highly in demand professionals wait for decades to get green card but it is available readily to some other people such as Trump's parents in law. Republican will make sure that it remains that way.

Ruined by Indian IT consulting companies …. I agree it should not be so. Those companies should not be given any H1B visas. The backlog wouldn’t exist without this abuse.

Congratulations doc. I am in the same boat since last 15 years. I served in COVD pandemic as an immunizations pharmacist to serve rural areas in state of Florida. I am glad to be a part of this and helping people.

After how many years the United States gives green card to indian or Pakistani doctors?

Right now, the best way for Skilled Indians to get green card is, to make a baby. Wait for him/her to get 21 years old, and then ask him/her to sponsor you.
Because the normal way right now, will take an Indian Skilled person 151 years to just get a greencard.

I heard that family spillover happening now and already moved 2 years recently from 2010 to 2012, hopefully it will further move due to pandemic.

Congratulations Dr. Singh!! I should say you are extremely kind and forgiving to an extremely cruel, regressive, and discriminatory immigration system. There are tens, if not, hundreds of thousands of highly qualified individuals with advanced degrees earned from US, waiting on this decades-long waiting line, paying high tax dollars to the system but no hope of any certainty just because they are born in a certain country. People with 1/10th the skill and qualifications you have get green cards more than 10 times faster if they are born just in another country. That’s how advanced US is socially, morally, and in policy making!! Isn’t it amazing!!

Green Card is only given to people who marry American citizens or cross the border illegally. For hard-working Indians, there are only - RFEs, questioning at the airport, visa denials, no visa appointments, country quotas, a 20-year wait for a green card, being forced to work till 1am every day because your i140 is pending and 60 days to pack your bags and leave, etc.

Dr. Singh. You should have called out the racist country caps specifically instead of beating around the bush calling for reforms. You displayed cowardice in not calling out the systemic discrimination against Indian borns. This is not a ‘doctors and nurses’ issue - it is an ‘Indian born persons’ issue. And congrats on getting your green card. Peace.

These indians left the country instead of working to improve, then how do you expect them to grow a spine as an immigrant and raise voice against a foreign nation?

    • @shouldersofgiants4649

100% accurate, I'm amazed he didn't mention country caps.
And I wouldn't be surprised if he joins the bandwagons of Bandar Pichais & Satya Nutellas and lobby Washington for Indian kids to suffer so he can reap millions off their slave labor
