I have been on Mounjaro 5mg for 7 months and have gone from 260 to 214lbs. I have had no side effects. It has given me the tool I never had to lose weight. It quietened the food noise in my head and I get full quickly. My A1C is now 5.7. I do exercise every day which is much more pleasant being lighter. Thank you Mounjaro
I was paying for mounjaro as it wasn’t covered took it 6weeks and loved it. Switched to Ozempic as my insurance covers no weight loss been on 2 weeks and have horrible headaches and constipation. I want to go back to Mounjaro I’m thinking.
I'm on Trulicity and it literally saved my life! My A1C levels went from 9.1 to 6.2 and my weight from 366lbs to 285lbs in a 8 month span. No side effects occurred for me. I used to be hungry at all times no matter how much I ate, Trulicity has fixed that issue for me. I feel full and satisfied with one to two meals max per day now. I absolutely recommend this product to anyone attempting to regain control of their lives.
Was on Trulicity for a year- did nothing for me.On insulin and Trulicity didn't bring my numbers down, nor did I lose weight. As of a month ago my endocrinologist switched me to mounjaro. My numbers are much lower, and slowly losing a few pounds
I have tried ozemic 2018 I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Did nothing other made me sick. I was put on Mounjaro end February have lower my blood sugar 350 to 97 also my a1c from 13 to 5.6. I loved the fact I dropped 69 lbs in 7 months I weigh 135 now. This medicine has been a game changer!!! That’s almost 34% drop in weight.
It's fantastic to hear that Mounjaro has worked so well for you! Dropping your A1c from 13 to 5.6 and losing 69 lbs is an impressive accomplishment. Keep up the great work managing your health!

Back in May I had some urinary/Bladder issues, and I was put on Flomax(Tamlusin),and it helped and I was put on drinking fluid restriction and other behavioral things. I went the Flomax in July. I went off the Ozempic for 2 wks. and my negative urinary symptoms improved. My Dr. said try Ozempic again, and so I did and after 2 wks, it was crazy how the increased urination etc. returned. I was on Ozempic for about a month, I had all the stomach issues with the worst being sulfur burps that could clear a room and constipation. I have moved to Trulicity because I have noticed this class of medication has done really well for weight and A1c. It took over a month to get off Ozempic and get back to normal. It happened to me, could not get out of bed. Have not taking it for the past two weeks, but my sugar is still low and i am still constipated. So i guess it will take more time for this to get out of my system.
I've had depression in the past and I did have some of the symptoms of it when I first started. And people have talked of suicidal thoughts on it, too.
Trulicity was a bit hit and miss for me - weight and A1c came down a bit but the slow digestion, bloating and constipation absolutely killed me - in the end having a good ‘movement’ in the morning is worth it’s weight in gold! So I’ll go back to farxiga and cut the triglycerides.
After 1 month on trulicity I got trigeminal neuralgia, had to start taking nerve medicine. My acupuncturist helped the pain a lot but it didn’t go away till i stopped the trulicity. Now I’m off the nerve medicine too.
On ozempic since April. I hate it. But it did help me lose 22 lbs and glucose levels in pre diabetic to normal range. Planned to use it for a year to gain control of my diet and learn some things through intermittent fasting. But the second shortage since I started. Now it's been 3 weeks since my last dose. Ism not going to play this on again off again on again off again game because they can't keep up. I am sure that's not good for my body. Hoping I've learned enough to control it with diatr and exercise alone. Combining Mediterranean without grains with intermittant fasting 18:6 or 16:8. The thing I hated the most, constipation, no appetite at all. No thirst cues at all. Had to remind myself to drink and to eat. Worried about losing muscle mass mot fat.
I had a difficult time finding my Mounjaro. Sometimes I had to travel to another state. I learned to start calling from Pharmacy to pharmacy when I'm down to two pens left. I have my doctor call in a new prescription to which ever pharmacy says they have the medication in stock. Due to it being a 21 day supply this has worked out so that I have never missed a dose. My Walgreens is always out. Walmart supercenter seems to always have the 15 mg when I need it. So far so good. Down 38 pounds and my blood work no longer has me at diabetic blood levels.
@nightowl8677 It's unfortunate to hear that you experienced such discomfort with Mounjaro. The "shakes" you mentioned might be related to various factors, and it's crucial to pinpoint the cause to determine if it's related to the Mounjaro operating system or something else.
Were you a big carb eater? I didn't lose much weight on Ozempic because when I found I had diabetes I stopped eating carbs a couple years ago. One big thing these GLP-1 drugs do is make you quit craving sweets and carbs so that is what really makes the weight loss. Another thing, 2.5 Mounjaro is the "starter" dose and they usually raise you up.
WIth all my respect to you as a collegue, I think you had to mention the main side effect of Ozempic! And this is Thyroid cancer and major muscle loss. Not right away, but Ozempic sets a huge base of these abnormalities!
Trulicity is dangerous my friend! I took 2 weeks of doses and ended up in emergency room with vomiting and extreme bloating and acid! I stopped after the second week! The vomiting and bloating has gotten worse and bloating never went away and have gastroperisis now! Please be careful with this stomach poison
I took Truilicty for two years, had no issues at all but it did not help me much so I switched to Mounjaro. After 6 weeks my weight is down and my blood sugar has improved significantly.
Ended up in the hospital after about 2 months on Mounjaro. No problems with Trulicity, except being able get it. It should be given to diabetics first not for people looking to use these medications for just weight loss.
@@joeking433 I think it was in the papers I got from the pharmacy. That was the medication I had to take in place of Trulicity, because I could not get it. That Was the only medication that I had added. I will see if I can get a copy of the papers from the pharmacy.
Ahh… TRUTH, but there are other factors involved that these medications address for Type 2 diabetics. Also, you naturally cut down on carbs while on these medications because you will eat less because they suppress appetite greatly, which is why patients lose weight on them. I know first hand, I’m now below diabetic range on my A1c score, and I’ve lost 75 lbs over 7 months time. I do watch my carbs , no longer crave them actually. I choose only complex carbohydrates, that also provide good nutritional value!
Carbs aren’t my issue. Educate yourself more. You sound like my doctors that I’ve been battling with about my sugar and carb intake along with exercising more.

Yeah, I can relate to all your concerns.
@uncletimmy4784 Were you diabetic?
I tried Mounjaro, but within the first week, I kept getting the shakes pretty bad.
@nightowl8677 It's unfortunate to hear that you experienced such discomfort with Mounjaro. The "shakes" you mentioned might be related to various factors, and it's crucial to pinpoint the cause to determine if it's related to the Mounjaro operating system or something else.
On Mounjaro 2.5 mg for 7 weeks. Knocked my sugar down to normal. But day of injection and 2 day later 🤢🤢🤢. AND zero weight loss
Ozempic face?
WIth all my respect to you as a collegue, I think you had to mention the main side effect of Ozempic! And this is Thyroid cancer and major muscle loss. Not right away, but Ozempic sets a huge base of these abnormalities!
Those severe side effects are extremely rare.
I was put on Mounjaro, and it was horrible. I and others had thoughts of suicide and took all Joy out of my life. I will not take it again.
Oh my, sorry to hear that. However, I'm happy to hear you were able to get through those feelings, and are able to share your story.
Yeah, I can relate. It took away my joy of eating but it also took my joy away of doing other things I loved, too!
I wonder if it affects those that already have depression and makes it worse. Just a thought!
Ozempic made me gain weight
Trulicity is dangerous my friend! I took 2 weeks of doses and ended up in emergency room with vomiting and extreme bloating and acid! I stopped after the second week! The vomiting and bloating has gotten worse and bloating never went away and have gastroperisis now! Please be careful with this stomach poison
It's rare but some people have severe side effects llke you had from these drugs.
Why did you end up in the hospital?
@@joeking433 One of the side effects is a UTI even though I was on antibiotics the infection went through my body to my brain.
@@joeking433 I think it was in the papers I got from the pharmacy. That was the medication I had to take in place of Trulicity, because I could not get it. That Was the only medication that I had added. I will see if I can get a copy of the papers from the pharmacy.
I lost 35 pounds in one year on Ozempic
That's fantastic @lennypignatello7493! Congrats! Keep up the good work, and stay healthy.
@@SugarMDs thanks Doc. Going to try Tirzepatide. some glue tied kind of plateau at 6 to 8 months still got about 2030 pounds. I want to lose.
14 pounds a year lmao ive lost that without anything in a month
My A1C dropped from 12 to 6.7 in three months on Ozempic.

Cut the carb you don’t need none of them.
@@rebeccaherrera6006carb was not your issue I respect that. 😊
You have to have carbs to live!! Carbs turn to glucose in ur body and that is needed!!
Unless youre insulin resistant like me smh
Don't take any of them. They're DANGEROUS!
Troll.
EVEN THE TABLES RYBELSUS 7 mg EVEN WORSE.
HI DOCTOR LET ME TELL YOU THAT NONE OF THEM ARE GOOD FOR HUMAN USE. DON'T LIKE ANY OF THEM. SORRY.
Better than being obese!
I have taken Trulicity for two years and just switched to Mounjaro. No serious issues at all!! My blood sugars are normal now and I am losing weight.
