I have my 25th anniversary coming up in a few months. When I was a single man I was struggling with dating. One day I turned to God and just told him of my hearts desire to be a husband and a father. A few weeks later he put my future wife into my life. We were both non practicing Christiana’s at the time. My now wife had been recently divorced after a 10 year marriage and 3 beautiful children. As we dated we quickly fell in love and wanted to have a life together. We ended up living together for 3 years then went to the justice of the peace to be married. After 17 years of marriage we both converted to Catholicism. We had our marriage convalidated and both of our views on marriage now mirror the Carholic view. I believe God took my desire for family and used that for me to be a husband and step father to 3 wonderful boys who are now young men. I think you’re on the exact right path…live for Christ, He will fulfill the desires of your heart that are pure and align with his will.

That was very well put. Dating and relationships can be such a hard thing for people to navigate especialy for Catholics in a more secular society.

Good views on marriage and children. I haven't been married myself, but both my dad and my brother have been divorced. It's crazy to me how nonchalant people are about having families. Divorce, children, it's all an afterthought in the world today. It's not a coincidence that things are so bad. People are broken spiritually.

I believe if you fully trust in God and put your life in His hands, you do not have to do anything. God will take care of it all and either reveal to you when is the time or just make it happen, just like you said. He said He wants us to trust Him like little children and rely on Him for all things.

And that is completely contrary to what our society tells us, which it seems to be always the opposite of scripture or Gods way.

I'm 32 this year. Nowadays I don't mind telling this cuz I know there is more girls/women like me. I never had a boyfriend so that goes no husband either. No relationship with males apart from school friends.Only platonic love/crushes.
I once was pressured to download a dating app, but after one message from a guy with asking what's with my "bio" I wasn't sure if that person was for real or ironic-sarcastic. I still rather meet someone IRL than thinking what he meant.
Also I wonder how is 4B movement goes with catholic/christian faith is this fine or not? (Apart of course when someone is married and do THIS after marriage)
If I'm beeing honest I never seen myself really as a wife or a mother although I said a lot as a kid that I will adopt a child, because I don't want to be in pain when prego.
One way I will see this as maybe if within let's say 10 years my lifee will not go to a marriage in any way I maybe will try to become a nun/sister so those thoughts are keep coming back every now and then. Only life and God's timing will tell :)
PS: If there are any mistakes in my writing I'm sorry. I had 12h shift and my mind is slightly cooked. Also It's the late evening for me but I have day off now so I wanted to cacth up a bit before catching some Zzzz's :"P
