    Nice to see Pia copying my signature move of gifting the Queen 😁. I knew it would catch on as it creates a dynamic position!

      Pia, win or lose, we respect you. We respect your long tenure as a GM, that you are a nice person, an intelligent woman, and a mother who raised a daughter who is also a terrific chess player (and content creator). Best wishes to you and your wonderful family ❤️ 🇸🇪 🇪🇸

    At first I was interested in your channel because of chess, but as I got to know you better through your actions I could see why I was really interested in your channel. You are different! you carry something authentic and full of light inside your heart, maybe it is what we understand as spirit, I don't know. Finally, how it shines. Continue bringing this glow to the hearts of everyone who interacts with you in any way. This work is eternal and moves in favor of all things. Congratulations Anna! and thank you for everything. in truth.

    Pia has nothing to prove to anyone - she has already proven she is a legend. I actually thought for a second that Qd7 was good, but then saw the bishop ... Must be horror to play white in armageddon on this level.

    Pretty good Strategy by Pia because she was so tired after playing for hours, and likely going to the Armageddon anyway, so it is a very good idea for her to get the draw as quickly as possible.

    While experiencing target fixation, a person can be very susceptible to dangerous situations due to lack of awareness of one's surroundings.

    Why did Pia's opponent opt for playing for a draw when she was the stronger player? She must have known she stood a better chance of winning the armegeddon with Pia due to her requiring a lot of thinking time. It's a good tactic, as it turns out.

    • @zfoo2
      @zfoo2 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it was clever tactic, but very disingenuous. Norway Chess is a Classical tournament, and purposefully going to armageddon to play blitz is not playing chess in good faith.

    Hi Anna, and I'm sorry that she dropped the Queen on d7. She'll just need to think through why that happened and seek to adjust on that. I see many do blunders every day, and young and lower rated players more than others assume it means that person is not a GM or IM or even a Master, which is wrong. Count the error as a Gift to her that showed her one of her weaknesses which she can now work on. Embrace it, examine it, go through the thought processes and make corrections, advancements. Something about that position with all its possibilities had that effect on her; It could be the conjunction of many things of the directions in which it pulled her thoughts, in that particular position and tactical combinations, orderings and so forth. It is something she should both take into serious account as I said above, but also to take with a laugh at how funny sometimes humans think or mis-think. Charles Shuler the California pastor used to say, Turn your scars into stars. Your mom is still tremendous in my eyes and estimation.

    I very much admire your mom's decision in the classical portion to hold her ground and have Anna M decide to either play on with Anna M in a lesser position or draw by repetition. I would have done the same. Anna M had been trying to trap your mom's queen during the game. Also, Anna M had a lot more to lose (in tournament standing) than your mom. By not winning in classical, Anna M now needs help to have a chance to win the tournament. Go Pia!
