Repairman Private Siefer personal journal entry #2 He did it again. He. Did. It. Again. He botched the landing and slid sideways. Not as much damage this time but he still shredded the fabric and cracked a few ribs in the wing. Easier to fix than the last job. Where did they find this fool! You'd think in flight school that they would teach you to land INTO THE WIND! Im going to have a talk with the squadron commander so I can take him up in the old two seater we got tucked into the hangar. I'm no military pilot but I can at least give him some tips that will help keep the man alive. The man shows promise, heard he got his first kill. Shot down a hun in a DR7F. I'll have to paint that on his bird when I get it fixed up. But if he does this again he's gonna have a rude awakening when he finds fabric, a needle, and thread in his bunk. Note: this man is a poor shot. Alot him extra ammo if possible.
I've been watching your more recent career play-throughs, saw this older one and decided to give it a go. Quite enjoyable. By the way, did anyone mention in any of the comments that Evan Ross has Eddie Rickenbacker's face?
Clause four of the armistice agreement required surrender of all Fokker D-7 aircraft which saw service in several allied air corps for a decade, such was the quality of that aeroplane. Fortunate you were able to down one.
the thing about landing is that you always want to land into the wind, while you are in the air, it is the speed that you are going through the air that determines if you stay flying or not and the direction& speed of the wind plus your air speed is what determines how fast you go over ground. When you have to land, you want your actual ground speed to be as low as possible and preferably zero so all you need to do is to connect the landing gear with the ground and turn the engines off... that is of course not a situation that occurs a lot -^,
Thanks for the information I appreciate it. Hopefully my next landing will work out a bit better. I don't know why I thought this was correct to be honest. Thanks for letting me know I appreciate it.
Love those old Radio Plays, and music. 💯👍👏🥂 yeah, yeah _Friendly fire, ain't._ 🤣😹 11:27 I keep hearing Slim Pickens, riding that H-Bomb down. LOL Using Flare Gun on balloons is fun.
As a private pilot I must tell you to always land into the wind. It slows your stall speed down by generating extra lift. Landing with the wind pushes you down the runway hence the reason you slide around. Always land with the pointy end of the wind sock facing you.
Trust me I will NEVER land with the wind again. I have no idea why i thought it was a good idea. It won't happen again. My excuse is I am 'role playing' as an imbecile. Haha
"Roleplaying" huh. Is that what the kids are calling it these days? Lol. Consider these as a small flight lesson in the two seater. For some basics on lining up an approach you should make smooth wide turns with small control inputs. 30 degrees of bank maximum. Any steeper and you can stall a wing and enter a spin. Be fluid in your movements. Nothing sudden or jerky or your gonna send your self into a constant loop of over correcting. Smooth and easy. On your final approach cut power to 25-30 percent and just gently bring her down. Once the tail skid is in chop power to 0, hit the brakes, and pull back on the stick to dig that skid in and bring her to a stop.
@@zacharysiefer8272 Thanks. I am going to practice my landings off screen before I do the next episode. Honestly this aircraft is just one big pain in the ass. Landing it is just difficult compared to the other aircraft I have flown. I will get it down though. Once again thanks for the tips.

@@Wolfpack345 have you tried the game without the ai mod recently? Me and some other players on the forum agree the ai actually flies better without it. It looks like the ai mod might be outdated. The AI is really this games weakest selling point. Still love it though
@@MegaTranquilla No I haven't tried it without the mod. Do you really think the base game is better? It's been a while since I played without it maybe I should give it a shot.
@@Wolfpack345 Well of course it's hard to do a decent comparison. I will do a more thorough test throughout the next days. But so far I can say that even with the mod all the AI usually does is simply drop altitude and fly in circles without turning fully
It really is lacking in the ammo department. Only 500 rounds. Not much at all. The SPAD has 1000 so it gives you something to look forward to I suppose haha
@@Wolfpack345 seems cool indeed. Just a shame that, as of right now, I've been KIA before I got to experience that. And by fucking Pfalzes, of all things...

I have a feeling my pilot is not going to die in the air but in his bunk. Killed by a very angry repairman.
💯🤣👍🥂😹
Good effort and you ran into Jasta 18 - probably the best German squadron in your area at the time.
It gets worse! lol

I was was very fortunate none of his friends came to help. There is no way I could have tangeld with two of them.
nah it was just all aircraft in general. There was no specific statement demanding the D7s be handed over.

Glad to see you took out one of their best planes while in one that the French would not fly themselves. Stay alive until you get a Spad.
That's the goal! I am definitely going to play it safe.
Love the 94th vlog. just wish they were longer. Any landing you walk away from is a good landing.

You did well. DVII had a powerful engine. Great kill at 11:00.
This is not an easy crate because of the gyroscopic effect from the engine.
Glad to see you took out one of their best planes.

I'm going to practice and get them down. Hopefully the next landing will be great!

Yeah I have used it. I am actually using PWCG for the new coop series on the channel.

It should happen eventually. You will transfer to different airfield on the same days the real sqadron did . Pretty cool if you ask me.

You could always borrow a Fokker D-8 from the Germans. It doesn't have that pesky lower wing that messes up your landings.
Yeah that would help out quite a bit haha.
