Three Foxes in our Forest. Spot the Differences!

  • Using a wildcamera, we have established that we have at least three individual foxes (Vulpes vulpes) in our little protected nature area.
    In this movie are also shown a badger (Meles meles) and the European wild cat (Felis silvestris silvestris). The wild cat on this footage is a male, which you can see from the way he leaves a scent trail.
    The wildcamera was placed a few dozen meters from the entrance of our forest ('Bois des Pirates'), coming from the nature camping.
    Spoiler Alert!
    When looking at the way they urinate, one can see that at one point a female is shown, and at another point a male. And then there is another fox (possibly also a male) which can be distinguished from the female because it clearly has another built, and it can further be distinguished from the others because it has a white plum at the end of its tail, which the others don't have.
