The local council should be ashamed of themselves. Instead of issuing a violation notice, they could have contacted the probation service. Edith is exactly the type of person that the "Community Service Order" scheme was established to help, whilst providing local offenders the opportunity to give something back to the local community as an alternative to custodial sentences. Well done Ben.
I'm not sure if where you're from you have your juveniles that are on probation do community service hours, but in the US they are required to do a certain amount based on well... It's left up to the judge and the probation officer. This would be an amazing way for them to work off those hours and come out with a job to occupy them at the end.

Hi Mary, so the letter gave her 14 days to cut the vegetation back, as it was causing a safety issue to the highway, I have no idea what would of happened if she didn't do it. Maybe the council would of cut it back and sent her a bill? or a fine.. I feel it was a bit strong as it was a lovely tree

I'm 78 and my husband is 80, and he has a disabling illness so our garden got neglected except for basic mowing the last couple of years. I love my garden and enjoy pottering about weeding and making things look nice, but as we get older we sometimes don't have the fitness to do what we'd like, so people like you are very much appreciated. Oh Ben, I smiled through your entire feel-good video. What a precious gift you gave her and not only changed the look of her home but changed something in her heart as well. The power washing was the icing on the cake. Speaking if cake…yum! You asked how our day was and you probably will not believe that I spent a good part of it filling up bottles with rainwater. Living in the high desert I use every opportunity to collect it for watering my gardens during the hot months of summer. So I recycle all of our bottles as well as the rain water. At 71 I’m wondering how much longer I’ll be able to do it…I’m tuckered out.

Whenever I see a video posted by Flawless Cleaning, I start to smile because it means Ben’s about to perform several miracles wIthout even realizing it. Aside from the massive transformation of the property, there’s the transformation of the owner’s or tenant’s life with the burden of worry and/or shame lifted. And there’s the transformation in thousands of hearts, either softening some or encouraging others with your blessings. As you say, kindness is contagious. Sure wish I could give you a hug! Hi Ben! The best advice I can give is that before hard pruning any tree or bush , find out a bit about it. There are apps that you can use to identify plants and trees. I am a vulnerable adult, with severe disabilities and I am grateful for this work that you do...! It's amazing how many people NEED support and services like this...but are fined, threatened and ignored because...NOBODY pays attention to the vulnerable ones. Cannot possibly do this for themselves...but are treated so horrible when they are denied that help!

Whenever I see a video posted by Flawless Cleaning, I start to smile because it means Ben’s about to perform several miracles wIthout even realizing it. Aside from the massive transformation of the property, there’s the transformation of the owner’s or tenant’s life with the burden of worry and/or shame lifted. And there’s the transformation in thousands of hearts, either softening some or encouraging others with your blessings. As you say, kindness is contagious.

Hi Ben! The best advice I can give is that before hard pruning any tree or bush , find out a bit about it. There are apps that you can use to identify plants and trees. I mention it only because every flowering tree or bush has a pruning season. May God bless your heart and your family. May He continue to keep you in health and may He prosper you. ❤

You have made it beautiful again for Edith and you can take pride that you made it that way! The walk from her door will be so much safer now that you pressure wash it. And no one can complain about public walk, it looks gorgeous! So happy you could help her.
Her council has a cheek! Did you see the tree on the corner intruding on her land with low branches? So she has to keep her garden tidy, but they can ignore THEIR responsibilities? Disgusting.
Luckily there are lovely, kind & generous guys like Ben to show her community how a tiny amount of donated time and effort can affect the life of an old person.
It’s time people remembered to be kind.

I am a vulnerable adult, with severe disabilities and I am grateful for this work that you do...! It's amazing how many people NEED support and services like this...but are fined, threatened and ignored because...NOBODY pays attention to the vulnerable ones. Cannot possibly do this for themselves...but are treated so horrible when they are denied that help!
