Would recommend to add a large water vacuum to the equipment. Very useful to remove dirt and debris and for me often saves time. Especially useful if you wash porous materials or you have bad drainage.

The stones look incredible beautiful! Now the lady can enjoy them again and I hope she will.
You did an amazing job! 👍🏻
      Not only on the cleaning!
Im sure the 'lost' money didn't put as much weight on the ladies shoulders as the scam, that happened to her. You showed her that there is another way and gave her strength back.
      Great!
      And yes, more please!

What you should tell ALL elderly people you come into contact with is for them to have a "No Cold Callers" sign on the front door also another sign saying "Smile for the Camera" helps a lot to deter cowboys and to make them think twice before knocking

Well... Im upset you didnt use a bit of painters drop plastic at the base of the house mate... Honestly? I would call you a dunce and smack the back of your head for putting that onto the stucco. Because now, if you do something as foolish as use that pressure washer on the house to rinse what youve put on it.. you may as well have to restore the area. Its quite easy to do a good job on the surface.. but.. the lack of forethought on protecting the stucco.. really makes me think your an incompassionate or thoughtless child.

A trick I'm trying to use with my aging parents is for them to tell the salespeople that shows up, that they're not the owners and their son will call them back. This gives us time to discuss if its needed, if it's legit or if it's not in our budget.

I look out for my neighbours every time we have cold callers in our area, I follow them around and make sure the neighbors are ok. We had a very elderly lady opposite us, sadly no longer with us and a salesman was trying to sell her double glazing, she was about to give in when I told him where to go, she was 89 at the time and the windows were fine. Good on you man, for not only giving the lady the job she deserved but for taking time to have a chat.

Thank you for lifting her heart so much, both by you’re detailed and skilled work, but also as much by your work ethics and sensitivity to her. Personally I love that you took tea breaks with her. We had some scam clown round a couple of days ago. Bogus ID, bogus 'scheme' to help the out of work/prison. Selling 'household goods'. I said No, but within ten minutes heard him inside an elderly neighbours house. Wormed his way in. I could hear him going on about 'covid' because her window was open. While I was on the phone to the Police, he shut her window. Sometimes these are 'fronts' casing homes for burglaries. I gave up waiting for the Police to answer. He moved on. I'm very new in the close so I don't know anyone. I'll knock tomorrow and see what happened to her.

This has to be the most dramatic pressure washing transformation I've seen. I've seen jobs that started out looking worse than this one did, but they never get a finished result like this. Depends what she paid for. There is a place for a full-day cleaning job (ie full restoration as shown in the video) as well as 1 hour quick cleaning job (clean surface grime).
It may have been both - they swindled her or she simply misunderstood that the $100 job will not look like the one shown in the video.

I joined your channel after this, Ben. Just catching up. This one is dear to my heart, my late Mum was talked into so many things from cold callers and charity door to door salespeople. She paid way too much cash for a tree to be chopped down. They told her it was diseased, there was nothing wrong with it. I stopped three direct debits going through from charities. She had dementia, it would have been obvious she didn’t know what she was signing up for, yet they did it anyway. It upset her as she knew she’d done something ‘wrong’ but didn’t know what 😢 She came to live with me for the last five years of her life, she was comfortable, happy and protected. Best decision I ever made. Proud to be a channel member, thanks for helping vulnerable clients 👏🏼👏🏼 (How cute were Theo and Arthur at the end!) 😊

My mom is 85 and has been on her own for 24 years. She hired a guy, a friend of a friend, to re-surface her driveway and to get rid of the weeds and a few cracks. When the guy comes to do the work, and I made sure I was there in the house and watching him, he was 400+ pounds! Okay, I’m not fat shaming, because I am a little bit fat too. But when I checked on him he was lying down flat on the driveway and spreading some black goo with a paintbrush. After about four hours he asked her for $600! She paid him. A year later it looked like it looked before the six hundred dollar ripoff.

I know I'm a year late to the party on this one, but I just wanted to say I love your work ethic and attitude! And I love what you do for the more vulnerable members of our society. Speaks great volumes to your personality and the type of person you are. And I have to give credit to your parents for obviously raising you right.
As for this job. What the previous person/people did is shameful, and that sort of thing is a huge reason why I absolutely _refuse_ to pay for a job up-front. I don't mind paying out up to half - especially if there are material costs to consider before the job can even begin. But once you've given them the cost for the whole job, there's really no incentive for them to actually do a _good_ job ... or even do it at all. They've already got what they wanted - the money. I don't care how big their company is, how many employees they've got, how good they _think_ their reputation is or what kind of other assurances they try to give me (all excuses I've heard in attempts to get me to pay up-front for entire jobs) - I'm no fool or easily-tricked person and I won't be scammed like that. Not when my finances are so damned tight month-to-month. I simply can't afford to take the risk.

They veered into my lane and ran the side of my car, up to drivers door and hit me hard. They were going way to fast, I'm assuming, so now I have even more bruises showing up and not able to do anything at all right now! Car is totaled as not only was the frame bent, it was also twisted. Just sick about it as my son gave me that car. Caught a nasty cold at the ER (16 days sick) and just now feeling like myself, except for the rib and headaches! I'm only 75 & I paid $205 upfront because I knew the person who only days AFTER TAKING THE MONEY told me that he couldn't start weeding for two weeks but he'd have it done by the time I returned from NC . I was gone for 9 days and he was supposed to weed whack 2 inch high weeds to dirt while I was gone putting in one hour a day WEED WHACKING for nine days. I'd additionally given this "friend" $90 on top of the $205 to open 4 cans of cat food daily for my 4 cats in my absence ( he's less than HALF a block away from me ) every day. After two weeks the 2" weeds were 3 inches high. Very few portions of the back yard had weeds ( MOST OF THE BACK is covered in pavers) but upon my return NOTHING AT ALL had been done. He said his visiting daughter was epileptic and he had to watch her but he'd do it before he went on vacation to Morocco and Korea but he had to prepare for his trip and pack months went by. His daughter had long returned to Morocco months ago ( she only visited him in the States ) during her visit I weeded by hand because WEEDS DON'T STOP GROWING and they were 6 to 8i inches when I did them. This gave him a healthy headstart and I sent him pictures of how much of his work I'd done for him and still he kept ducking me. Excuse after excuse. long & SHORT it's almost a full year and he's never lifted a finger - rather than being honorable, he's telling our mutual friends that I told him not to do anything, like on a fixed income with property taxes so high they eat a third of my Social Security check so I have to sell and relocate after living here almost 54yrs. since I was 22. Serious lack of morals is an understatement. Not only was this a con but he's lying about it now- icing on the 🎂 cake. I had the backyard down to dirt the fall before but the guy died and the landscaping fabric never got installed. After the winter in March? April ? as soon as I saw the first bit of green emerging I showed him the yard and he said $22/hour to whack it to dirt was good, off the books. He'd do it as a 'favor' for me. UNIVERSE, YOU HANDLE IT FOR ME AND HIS OUTRIGHT LIES ! I'm done with his 💩 poop and nonsense ! Now the 5' bent over weeds are costing me another $270-$360 we're mid clearing BECAUSE they're no longer 2-3 inches and that's not down to dirt either, it's just so it doesn't look like a jungle. This is AFTER THE FIRST CLEARING that my 75 year old knees did.

The end of this video is the most wholesome thing I've seen in ages! I miss when my kids were that little, enjoy it while you can. Every moment is precious. Mine are teenagers now and i get to do stuff like banish them from the kitchen at 2am when they attempt eating a 5th meal. I don't agree with not giving money upfront. As a small business owner I can't afford to get shafted on payment for a job and I've noticed especially in the pressure washing business people will have you come clean the house exterior, fences, and driveway, not pay then when you try to go after them the house has been sold and they've disappeared. Having to pay upfront is not always a scam sometimes it's just good sense.
Edit: I've never left a customer who didn't like the work I had done. I always have them come inspect that what I've done is to their satisfaction. That said I have run into people (not a lot admittedly it's a very small percentage) who will try to say I didn't do good work in order to get some or all of their money back. Luckily I document thoroughly the conditions of a property before I start working and take several photos after I finish and it all goes into a customer file along with information on the customer that is necessary and any notes good or bad I find prudent to enter.

What a transformation. You’ve given her such a pleasant environment, she must feel like she’s traveled back in time a bit. You broke away that grimy depression engulfing the whole property. God used you to give her a miracle. Bless you for doing the work.

Just found your channel. What a wonderful young man you are. Hardworking and conscientious in your work. You did an amazing job for this elderly lady, and have no doubt restored her faith in Tradesmen. Your little boys are just too cute, lovely to hear their laughter. Keep up the good work.

Fantastic job! It's so nice to know there are still people in this world like you to make a big difference in someone's life; especially the elderly who have been taken advantage of. May God bless you and your family. Your little boy is adorable, and you are a great dad!

It's so so sad how these cowboys act, especially how they attack the elderly, in their days things were done so so differently and paying upfront wasn't unheard of cos people had morels (don't get me wrong there were some who didn't but many did), so glad you helped her, love watching you do this kind of work 😊

Everyone needs someone like you, especially the elderly or the vulnerable, I know exactly how this lady feels about struggling to maintain your home as a widow, I’m a pensioner and a widow too, bless your heart for giving her back her trust. ❤

Once you cleaned it those colors really popped. It’s such a beautiful patio and walkway. I love the look of it. Cleaning it off like that also makes it safer when it rains, snows or freezes. You’re making it safer and prettier.
    Your boys are so precious.

What a beautiful soul! I lost both sets of grandparents and I’d “adopted” my next door was a grandfather but he also passed away last week. Elderly people are precious and I’ll never tire of hearing their stories. We need more people like you!

Could you show more of the home owners reaction once its finished? Must say she has gorgeous stonework there, bet they don't make them like that anymore.
