Thanks so much for watching 😊 xx
I love your sew the trends videos. I'm not really one to follow the trends, but somehow when you talk about it, I think to myself "I want to make that one, and that one, and that one..." Lol. I'm already on trend because I'm crocheting a granny square cardigan (with a knit button placket, cuffs and waistband. It's the Ariana cardigan on Ravelry. And it's so pretty. But I love that white granny square pullover that you showed and want to make it in a light tan linen blend yarn. I have the big 4 patterns for the white vest and trousers that I also want to sew in a light tan, as well as patterns for all the trends you showed except for the cropped trench coat. But now that I've seen it, I know I will want one too. I've just not noticed it before. The good thing is, living in Canada, the trends tend to be about a year behind England, so I have lots of time to make them all up.
Sounds like you are right on trend with the cardigan and the tan sweater sounds lovely ☺️ xx
70’s Boho style is fabulous!!!❤
My favourite too xx
Enjoyable and perfectly presented. Thank you
Ah thanks so much xx
The sewing community seems to have been ahead of the high street on a few trends! Especially the quilted waistcoats
Always one step ahead 😉 Xx
Crochet jacket would be fun!!!😊
Ooh, the crochet jumper by lakeside loops is irresistible, so I didn’t resist……! Thanks Sally!
It’s lovely isn’t it xx
Absolutely fab video.....so many wonderful ideas! I love your pattern ideas for all, but surely the blouses! Thank you, take care
Thank you so much I’m glad you enjoyed it xx
Lovely fresh vlog xx ❤
Thank you xx
Thanks for all your hard work putting this together. Really inspiring. There is a free tailored style waistcoat pattern from Maison Fauve called Pompon.
Thank you for watching and for that suggestion I hadn’t seen that one xx
All the crochet out there inspired me to pick up my hooks. Got through one project for my daughter (sort of a blown up Irish crochet lace) Remembered why I prefer sewing. (although relatives still tap me for help with weaving in and finishing and translating UK to US)
Haha I bet your makes are lovely 🥰
Thanks again for a brilliant blog. Love the big sleeves and the crochet sweater. Quick topic change, how are the baby birds getting on❤️❤️
Thanks for watching! The birds have flown 🥰 We only saw two but the nest was empty so I hope they all made it x
My favourite vlog looking at the trends without leaving the house! I am not sure large puffed sleeves are for me but a softer new pattern from Fabric Godmother maybe an idea!
I have had boucle in my stash along with Vogue pattern for Chanel jacket so maybe work on that!
Thanks for your hardwork and getting all your word’s in order for the vlog ❤
I think the Fabric Godmother sleeves are perfect, not too big and very wearable! Good luck with your sewing and thanks for watching xx
Love these ideas! Thank you!❤😊
Thank you for watching xx
Statement sleeves galore! Loving the cropped jackets too.
Amazing aren’t they! Thanks for watching xx
Great video xx
Thank you xx
Thank you for a great video. I’m loving the crochet trends and currently making a crochet bag in retro daisy squares - not sure I can carry off the crochet garments despite loving them 😂
Oooh lovely! It is quite a bold trend is t it 😂
A fabulous pattern for the billowing sleeves is the Vali dress and top by Patterns Fantastique. It is a smock style top so could also be a 1970’s blouse if done in a soft printed cotton, like an Indian block print.
Ah thank you a pattern I’ve not seen before x
Thanks Sally, fabulous as always x
Thanks so much! Xx
Love this! Hope you do this every season :)
I usually do! Thank you for watching xx
Hot summer here Sara! 95*
I made that Phen shirt about 18 months ago. Have to say, I don’t recommend it. It was an epic fail on me. I’m Size 18, D cup. Maybe it would work better on a thinner, smaller busted person. It tugged and pulled everywhere on me and i seem to remember it restricting movement because the sleeves were hopelessly short on me. It didn’t lend itself to being customised. Because if you changed anything, you lost the circular shape and the circle was its appeal. It was a strange combination of being simultaneously spacious and constricting. 🤷🏼♀️
My daughter even went to pinch it after i abandoned it, she’s about a 14 with a C cup. She gave it back and said, that shirt is weird! 😂
Oh dear ok 😂 I guess it could be a weird shape to wear I hope if anyone tries it they have better success - thanks for sharing your experience xx
I love Pattern Fantastique, but the Phen shirt has some issues. I was checking it out on Instagram and decided not to buy it. On the Atelier blouse: Those big sleeves are called batwing sleeves when they connect from the side up to the arm like that. Often used in knits in the 1980’s.
Great recap. One thing that would be helpful is letting us know if the patterns have sewing cup sizes. I can do a FBA, but it's a pain, so if it is easy to figure out, it would be nice if you could include it. Thanks. i really appreciate your content.
Thanks for watching I’ll take that into account for next time xx

xXX👍👍👍
How the hell is a boucle jacket considered "Summer Sewing"?
If you live in the uk it’s always going to be appropriate but I’m very sorry if I’ve offended you with my choice 🙄 xx
