- Note: The stack height of the shoe is 49mm and not 45 mm as mentioned in the review.
Hoka Skyward X is a maximized carbon plated shoe, to be released in April 2024. Here's a review of it from the runner's perspective, not focusing som much on the stats and specs.

Very good review -thank you- very nice neighborhood and running route.
Thank you very much. I hope that the feeling of running in the shoe came through in the review. And yes, I like my neighborhood, many alternatives just around the corner (everything in the movie is less than 2-3 miles from home).
Great review, across all the key disciplines of running. I bought this after the review and will receive it tomorrow. I am looking for a shoe that will eat up many training road miles and on the canal. Recovery is going to be interesting, I have owned a lot of Hokas over the years, and this is my first X. Thanks again. Sunny
Great to hear. I don't think it will disappoint you. Since the review, I went to Rome during Easter and this was the only running shoe I brought and I run between 15-20k every morning (for four days). And it did its job.
thanks for the comprehensive review. best wishes from Hong Kong
Thanks a lot. Not so used to reviews, but been running a lot so I just told what I thought and experienced.
Thanks for the great review video! This shose isn't released yet in korea, but sure they will soon. Thanks again!
Worth waiting for...😀
Thanks for the 1st running review in the new hoka’s mine arrive today and hoping for some good things from these new super shoes, been waiting for some superblast to come back into stock but got tired of waiting and then these hokas came available so jumped at it. Fingers crossed I will ❤ them.
Haven't tried the superblast so can't compare these to that shoe. But can say that I've just came back from an easter trip to Rome and run four new sessions in them (about 60km) and they are very nice. Take into consideration that rest of the days, I was touristing around in the city meaning walking, walking and walking so the legs were pretty tired, so it was perfect with a soft cushioned shoe but with some responsiveness.
@@magnus72hogfeldt mine have landed, and they FIT... always a concern with Hoka's, make some great shoes but sizing is not consistent
Great review
Many thanks.
Tack för en bra review Magnus! ⭐️
Cool video! What sizing do you recommend? True to size or half size up?
I would say true to size. Yet it is aaalmost a bit small for me. But I'm usually running in "wide" sizes in for instance Clifton, Mach, Challenger and Speedgoat. I have also the Tecton X and there is no wide version in that shoe. Yet, I find it a bit wider than Skyward (but that might be because I've about 500km in that one. Should say that I have the same length size i all the models.
Now, I've run about 100 miles in my Skyward and they are good to me, even though they are tight.
Even more info. I also run in a few models from Adidas, Nike and Saucony and I have the same size in them as in the Hoka shoes. True to size I guess.
temporary or permanent switch to English?
Don't know. Since I got hold on these before release, I thought that this may be of "international interest". That's why the language.
Nästa film blir från Equinox Adventure Ultra (som jag sprang i helgen) och den är åter på svenska.. 😀
Must also ask, what do you prefer?
@@magnus72hogfeldt Som svensk föredrar jag nog svenska
@@magnus72hogfeldtas a German I wouldn’t even be watching the video if it was in Swedish…
