We run legit miles in our shoes and provide honest, no BS reviews of running shoes, running gear, and running races.
Thomas got that Andy Dufresne at Shawshank fit
😂😂😂
😅😅
I crawled through two miles of…
@@Believeintherun "Geology is the science of time and pressure "
😂
"it's a little bit on the heavier side"
Understatement of the year 😂
Thomas is going Mexican town gangster with his buttoned shirt!
Ayyyy ESSAYYYY ☠️☠️☠️
Was about to write this same comment 😂😂😂😂
Looks like a good shoe. Like the color and look forward to the followup.
I'm a 6'3 heavy Clydesdale, but Megan and I have the same preferences and shoes so please put a bunch of miles on it and come back with a solid review. It really sounds like the perfect shoe for my big slow butt, so if it's got the Megan stamp of approval I'll definitely buy it.
Everyone hated on prime x strung 2, but I could just soak up miles in those. These remind me of those..
I’m excited for this shoe
Thomas flexing on all of us with the Satisfy shirt lol
Pareciendo chola
Thank God, we have a monster cushioned HOKA shoes again.
great catching thomas 😂
Came for the shoes, now I want that shirt!
Looks like the first Fila Racer Carbon available in Brazil a couple years ago
still will wait for the superblast 2 to cover that long mile running
novablast 3 does cover it. 15 to 20 milers are easily doable.
Please compare this shoe with Adidas Prime X2
just did 6 miles in them yesterday (I usually only do 5ks). Very bouncy and I felt like I was running slow but was moving 10-20 seconds faster than my usual avg pace 8:15
Press ups Thomas for the multiple dropped catches 😂
Any thoughts on this one for someone who is desperate for a Glideride 3 replacement?
How does the Skyward X compare to the SC Trainer v1 in terms of fit and bounce? I loved my SCT v1 and have been disappointed with the SCT v2.
Very similar. Bit firmer. Better upper.
why this and not the bondi X? seems like they cross over
What’s the release date?
Thanks for a good review :) What tempo shoe would you pair with this daily trainer? Hoka Cielo?
That would work
Question about a different Hoka sneaker - do you guys happen to know by any chance when the Bondi 9 will release?
I think next year, if I recall from a recent running warehouse podcast. Hoka is extending the cycles of certain models to be further apart as I guess people don’t want them to change too much.
Does it have aggressive rocker geometry? How does it compare to Cloudeclipse in that regard?
No
Basketball sneaker vibes in that midsole design.
as a former bballer i see this as an absolute win
Boat anchor vibes in the overall weight
It looks like Kensington Shoe Reviews! You really need 50in of stack and a carbon plate for walking through all the dirty rigs.
Nice catch.😂
Are these comparable to the Superblasts? $240 yikes. But if you get double the mileage it’s worth it.💰👟
Both great, this one is bouncy
Haven't run in the skywkward, but the weight difference just ruins it for me, and there's now way they'll somewhay last twice as long. The Superblast can do a little bit of everything, not just recovery and junk miles.
Do you think this would be good for ultra marathons like 100 miles or 24 hour runs or is it just too heavy?
That’s the big question
I'm shopping for fresh shoes for my next ultra too. There's always a cushion vs weight vs comfort balance to consider, but in this case I don't even have to try them to know the ratio is WAY off. Interesting concept for a really specific nich, but a hard pass for me. If the Clifotn 10 is a slightly lighter and bouncier version of the 9, that might be a good candidate for me.
Cielo X1 Would be a better option than this if you're looking at the Hoka brand
When’s the official release date?
April 25th
Are these good for long walking ?
Didn’t experiment with wearing them outside of running
Hoka's answer to a question that no one asked...
Hmm. Curious why this shoe needs a plate if it’s intended for a cushy easy day run?
Probably just stabilizes the foam instead of giving much responsiveness like in a racer. 50mm of stack needs something to keep you stable.
Helps them bump the price as well
Hmm...
as sweet, bouncy & comfy the Skyward X might be, at $225 why not opt for the Asics Superblast or New Balance FC SC Trainer v2 and save $40 while at it? 🤷♂
Thomas looking like Michael Richards as The Bow Tie Killer from Problem Child.
How does this compare to the ON Cloudmonster Hyper?

@@Believeintherun I have
Good for distance and endurance training cuz its heavier but not tiring. When you put the BONDI's on you'll fly away.
I just tried this at a hoka event, and honestly, what a dissapointment, It is super heavy, clunky, mushy and not responsive, massive heel slip and high arches.
I honestly have never tried a worse shoe for the money. For reference, I am used to superblast and Prime X strung v1 in same category.
The Cielo though, wow.
Thanks for this. I like the strung 2 even though people say it’s heavy. I’m also curious about the cielo.
wow this is heavy literally for $225
Hey Ese, what gang are you affiliated with?
BONDI 9 will be released when ?
BONDI 8 is best of history Max cushioning
Nice Shirt Thomas. Brand?
Satisfy
Surprised you expect to get a lot of miles out of this shoe given how quickly PEBA degrades compared to TPE foams.
woah im early
2:25 Thomas checking out a girl while 1-at work 2-on camera, 3-with his wife hahahaha
Thomas seems a little buttoned-up today..
those look like candy tbh 😂
Like to Meaghan and Thomas. The hoka carbon x3 is dead. The hoka bondi X is dead. Have a great day.
Ha ha, not my kind of shoe; I just watched to see if either of you could catch that Big Boi 😂
0 for 2
hoka endorphin shift lol
Bricks
Those look like Shaq’s shoes
So when do we get to a point where running shoes look ridiculous? Serious runners can’t be seen in those. 😂
Too heavy and pricey for me for this type of shoe. I don't wear out the midsoles of my shoes, but instead the lateral outsole that wears down uneven. Hoka's are particularly bad with their outsoles. Have to pass on this one.
It looks like a brick.I choose Prime X2 all day
This shoe is a complete waste of money lol
Interesting shoe, but ugly colorways
All I had to hear was sc trainer 1 to know it wasn’t for me
Hoka road shoes are trash! I know after running in a lot of hoka trail shoes they are not great qualty. Luuuv the speed goat 4 700km in 1 par. But the speedgoat 5 ripped on me the 3 run, bought in january. And the mafate speed 4 bought in february, just ripped after 60km. And that was soooo good to run in. ripped on me twice in 4 months, and its F U 4 life😂 quality is sooo bad its sad! these looks terrible by the way. I know, i am a ray of sunshine to day😂
hoka is way overpriced, look to deckers stock price
This should be renamed as Hoka Skybigbrickward X
wow all Hoka shoes got extremely ugly af
