Bro did you know that by adjusting the pods on the driver board you can limit the current to your motor's and then you can run the cooler that's why the pods are on the driver pcb. Any way excellent video. Good job. Thanks
Dear FFF, the link for *MI-Inkscape-Extension.zip* seems to be broken. Do you mind fixing it? 02:40 Can you give information on setting the VRef value for the DRV8825? 06:02 Are you sure that *Red* is _Ground_ and *Brown* is _5V?_ I think *Red* is _5V_ and *Brown* is _Ground._
This is very clever use of junk. However, I'd expect you will find a lot more jet or laser printers for free that have much faster more robust components. I'm thinking you have another video doing that I just have not seen it yet.... lol
You can make gcode with many programs, the issue is that programs such as lasergrbl don't have built-in servo control, whereas the inkscape extension does. If you are willing to do a bit of extra work you can make your gcode with whatever.
That's odd - are you sure there aren't 4 connectors? Stepper motors have 4 connectors, all needed to produce the variable motion so you can move the base and plot.
@@srg_5941 Well in order for this project to work you need stepper motors. They don't have to be from old CD drives, but the old drives have good, straight rails to build the axes onto

@@FactsFromFiction I make one but it dose not move full steps
@@srg_5941 Might be a software problem if you can get it to move but not all the way

cnc rooter/router .... what ARE you talking about? Z axis? LOL
This sounds TERRIBLE!!!
