This is so true. I have been looking weekly for three months. Toyota is keeping inventory tight and I was to,d they prioritized the grand highlander. But the factory has picked it up and a few more are seen inbound. Multiple dealers are asking for deposits up front.
Turbo chargers will be the doom of car manufacturers. The forced induction heats the engine up to incredible temps. Naturally aspirated every day of the week.
@@thewireman134he doesn’t realize that turbo/super charged engines were designed to handle the high compression and heat🤷🏻♂️ If anything, it’s because dumb people treat every red light like a drag race, which abuses the power train.
@@Robmiezer66 just cuz a car has a turbo doesn’t make it a drag racer. That was my main point. Stupid people abuse and/or neglect their cars. The longevity of a car is mostly dependent on the driver. Regardless if it’s forced induction or NA. That’s my mechanic’s philosophy, but I agree with it.
Why would anyone buy the Highlander instead of Grand Highlander? Watch the front overlap IIHS crash test [on TH-cam] for the Highlander and compare it to the Grand Highlander. IMO that's enough of an answer.
Because some want an RAV4 with an extra 2 seats (to use on occasion), but do not want the XL Grand Highlander...like me
They still make it because it still sells. Pretty easy.
You nailed it. My mom bought one in 2023. It's a perfect grandparent's car. She loves it. Great value, as well for what you get overall.
Remember that is Highlander, it should stay like it’s. Grand highlander was replacement for Land Cruiser not prado Land Cruiser.
Around me you can't find one on a dealer lot within 300 miles.

Its one of their best sellers thats why they still make it
Compared with Volkswagen Atlas
Do they drive the same with GH?
Toyota highlander looks good for a suv
Like the traditional gauge cluster.. but this is the Highlander you settle for if the Grand is too $$
I will prefer the hybrid highlander excellent reliability and better gas mileage efficiency
May as well just get the Sequoia then.
The Sequoia is a monstrosity not everyone wants or needs. Also, the cargo area is a terrible design.
2025 Toyota Highlander XLE 4X2!
Great car due for an update
Yes but grand highlander is better so even of they stop making it nothing will happen.
For me, the better choice is the CX90, for a slightly better price.
But I went with a higher end hybrid option instead.
It does feel like Toyota has too many SUVs in their lineup with close enough/similar specs.
Then almost double that with the Lexus version.

Gtfo of here.. lol I had a 1985 Chrysler Laser Turbo that had 185k miles on it and engine was still good.. oh my the sky is falling. Just stop dude. 😂

@@DayTuckErrJoobz Turbo can create more heat, but also has more moving parts and more to wear out.

Zero reason to buy this over the SPECTACULAR Grand highlander.
