The past decade has produced a lot of 3 row SUV's. Most of them have undesirable 3rd row seating arrangements that leave the 3rd row occupants head only a couple inches away from the rear hatch glass, effectively making the 3rd row occupants cranium a part of the rear crumple zone. My favorite thing about the Grand Highlander is that there is substantial distance between the 3rd row occupants head and the rear hatch. This is a byproduct of it's adequately sized trunk space behind the 3rd row seat which can be seen at 2:12
We've had a 2018 Highlander for 6 years/90K, and have loved it. No issues ever. Just change the oil, tires, brakes as needed. Just put a deposit on a 2025 Grand Highlander Limited. Looking forward to the additional space and 36 combined mpg. Love Toyota. My ride is a 22 Tundra. This will be for the wife. Love your videos. Thanks!
This will come down to your personal needs. If you want space and more leg room on 3rd row, then Grand Highlander. Sportier look with lighter handling, then Highlander.
🖐😳 was considering a Highlander and recently spent a week driving the California coast in a rented 2024. The week convinced me to take it off my possibles list. Drive is ok, not great, inside is cheap plastic everywhere and looks cheap too. The dash layout is the most jumbled, confused dash I’ve ever seen. Pretty thirsty on gas too. To my surprise, definite pass.
Right, the GS has a passenger side airbag problem with at least a 2 month stop sale until around Sept. 2024 - painful for Toyota since the 2024 GS won't be available until around the time the 2025 models arrive.
That’s more like a Venza bigger than RAV4. Venza is actually what Lexus RX is based on. Venza is also a Toyota model that lost the competition in the segment that’s why most people haven’t heard of this model😂
they do, just buy the current Highlander and fold the 3rd seats down. the Grand Highlander is now considered the true 3rd row option, since the wheelbase was increased to 201.4 inches from 194.7 in the Highlander. that's a 7 inch increase, but it's also taller by two inches, it's how they were able to increase the 3rd row. the regular Highlander still comes with a 3rd row, but now with two choices people can use the regular Highlander as a 2 row.
it's not exactly small, just not as long, but the Grand Highlander is only 6 inches longer. it helps in terms of that 3rd row, but it's interesting Honda has 31.2 inches in the 3rd row of the new Honda Pilot, and is the same size as the regular Highlander at 194.7 inches. the Grand Highlander has 33.2 inches 3rd row.

I would rather have the regular highlander, but like the front end design better on the grand highlander.
Just bought a 2021 highlander platinum with a V6
Grand Highlander is not unique. It's a copy of RAV4 just inflated. I pick the Highlander more original and elegant design.

The real question is do you buy Toyota or Mazda, because if either of these are my options I’m buying the Mazda…
Seems like you answered your own question.
Tested the Ghighlander against Pilot in one day. Piolt is much better, a bit smaller and lacks the hybrid, but better in everything else
Stop sale on both the Tundra 2022+and 2023 and stop stop sale on all Grand Highlanders. Death traps. You can’t even trade them in.

I have the previous generation regular highlander (17-19) and it’s better looking! 😂
Previous generation looks better, but the tech and interior design are outdated.
@@dnn32yes like your outdated lifestyle
The rear hatch glass could open separately too in the prev gen highlander
if you want highlander find 2016, its the best Highlander imo
Why?
Love the mature look of the Grand highlander.
lol the GH is mature vs the Highlander ? Well I guess that’s why they’re opinions
the fake wood trim in the grand highlander is absolutely disgusting
who would buy these.. the Hybrid powertrain is where its at for Toyota
Never knew there was a grand highlander! Also don't wanna be that guy but first!
I buy grand highlander like the big front end
Good design grand highland
They should make the highlander a 2row. Like a cx70.
Then it turns into a Rav4, No point
@@cameryncorliss4900you’re acting like these can compete with the CX-70, which get can’t.
@cameryncorliss4900 it would be a more spacious. Not everyone needs 3 rows, but they want more space.

No way this is not same both r different
Grand RAV4 oui 🙄
Rav8
@@yournightmare9999 😂😂😂
If you can't afford GH you should stay with smal Highlander
Isn't it general principal to buy the cheaper option if you can't afford the expensive option?
@@bloodclot yes you can buy used car for 500 or 1000 bucks
