    Does it have 3rd position to open the door - as you did with key? That means positions locked, unlocked, and open - which does half more rotation to actually open the door if you have knob from outside?

    A informative and comprehensive review as I've come to expect from yourself, thanks for sharing.
    The potential issues that I can forsee is that it looks to be a poor quality lock with zero break-in protection as there is no anti-snap protection visible, so a thief could break-in in just 6 seconds!
    It doesn't look BS kitemarked either.
    I would recommend that you contact your home insurance as it will likely become invalidated.

    • @GeekStreet
      @GeekStreet  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment, yes exactly insurance companies won't be happy with it, we need a major brand making products like this.

    • @adigueron
      @adigueron 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Indeed, that's what I thought too, it says on the box "copper", there is no antri-drill and / or anti-break protection, just soft metal, not even steel but copper. It's a pity as it's an affordable (maybe that's the reason?), easy to use and smart device!
      Pity you can not adapt it to one's own cilinder as you cand do with other brands, such as Nuki.
      I am sure it's totally fit for not high security doors, such as hotel rooms, offices in an office building and so on. But if it's your main entrance and the only lock, you will need at least a good, strong external protection shield.
      Very good and detailed review, thanks.

  • @filipsvoboda7712
    @filipsvoboda7712 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    this is probably the worst lock I've ever seen.
    The Bluetooth app is completely useless for automation.
    The original Tuya Zigbee gateway can only unlock the lock, but not lock it? This was programmed by a lunatic!
    The manufacturer provides no support.
    The thing has a huge battery consumption and no third party integration on Zigbee works. So it's not a zigbee, it's just a Tuya device. What good is a lock that can only be unlocked via an app?

  • @sicks6six
    @sicks6six 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    the weakest part of all locks is the key, so having a key with a smart lock means you are achieving nothing as far as security is concerned, fingerprint locks should be fingerprint only, no key,

    • @komischerkerl8120
      @komischerkerl8120 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on your security target - I was desperately searching for exactly this setup. I know I can recover from technical faults (sw) or loss of battery with a key. I would rather not want to be locked out of my flat (8th floor, no way to get secondary access path) having to call a locksmith that drills open my door/keyway.
      And the key locks decent from a lockpickers perspective (I'd give it a 4 or 5 out of 10) - better than most "landlord supplied" locks I have had in the past and if you have a house your windows and "other doors" will be a much easier target for most situations. Keep in mind a decent lock is ~150+ Euro, like the Assa Abloy Protect2. But if you loose the key or lock yourself out it will be much more expensive to get a locksmith to regain access.

    Hi, nice video thank you. I thought the lock cilinder for this model is changeable in length. The pivot that goes in the cilinder is variable like 40-100mm so it can sit flush to the shielding plate of the door handle.

    Hello, I have the lock installed and I have any questions, I have linked it with smart life but I see that it only gives you the option to open, you cannot close it from outside the home, only if you use the airbnk app with Bluetooth. Is there any way to be able to close it outside the home? good video

      Set it to close by itself after so many minutes

    • @komischerkerl8120
      @komischerkerl8120 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can set "Autoclose time" - so after open it will close after "n" seconds (+/- a delay of a few seconds). Since you can change this setting from remote you can close a door by first opening it and then have auto-close close it.
