As someone who, and I’m assuming here by skin color, is closer to Asian than they are English, I’d expect a little more respect towards languages, culture and identity. Chinese isn’t it a language, Cantonese and Mandarine are; China is a country. But hey, all you Sri Lankan’s look like Indians to the rest of the world.

    • @joonasfi
      @joonasfi 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Most (if not all) of the sensors here use Zigbee. Zigbee is different, but same category of, wireless networking as Wifi or Bluetooth. Because Zigbee is not directly compatible with Wifi (or wired Ethernet), you need an adapter to "bridge" Zigbee devices into traditional networks so you can connect to them.

Hello and thank you for the nice video. I have 2 questions please:
1- when you get a notification when the sensor alarms, do you get the customized name of the sensor or just its type. For example i changed the PIR sensor name to PIR Living room. Will i get this name in the app notification when the sensor alarm?
2- How can i disable the sensors when i am in the house so i don't get notifications?
    Thank you

    • @GeekStreet

      Thanks.
      1. You can rename each sensor, and get alerted with the name.

Yes, in principle that is what I would want to do, eg use Zigbee sensors connected to the hub to trigger Alexa routines that then can control some other (non-Tuya) device.

@@frofa2954 Have you got a sensor to work with Alexa?

Hi, I have a trable connecting the gate to the app. Could you please help me? Lights are one, but the app can not find the gate.

Try doing as close to possible and make sure the product is in pairing mode

@@GeekStreet thank you. I was like 10 cm from the gate and still nothing. Pairing mode is the one, where the one green light is on and the other one is blinking? Does it matter how fast?

When you detect human motion, you want two beady red lights to turn on and have the edog to bark up a storm....

The thing with those pir sensors is that they're £21 each.. I don't think it can be justified buying 5 at that price. A fiver a piece I'd be happy to pay.

So what about all these enocean wireless/battery-less senors that smart homes are supposed to be all about???? Why in hell Tuya is not using them??? With all these sensors we are drowning in battery management!!!

Bought a sensor and a zigbee gateway. Its crab. The sensor is very very slow and i cant get a silent alarm. The Zigbee dont have a good signal even it is just beside of my router. Waist of money. No smart home to me. 👎

I think the best option would be to go local control with home assistance. Lots of tutorials on doing this on youtube take a look.
