Did anyone notice the crescent wrench was used backwards at the beginning, not that it matters on something so small but that along with drilling the existing rivet instead of taking the two 1/4 screws off???? Also there's another video where he is putting the weather strip on the cab and he started that one on the vertical part instead on on the horizontal bottom. Now there's a potential for water seepage into the cab, I would have put it at the bottom and covered it up with the aluminum trim.
I wish the re assembly was more specific in regards to the washer sequence during installation and do you use a ss rivet during reinstallation. These steps are just glossed over like the viewer is supposed to already know this. The rest of the video was helpful.
If you have the metal door panel clip, I would trade them for the plastic ones. The metal ones grab a hold of the door a lot better than the plastic door panel can hold the metal clip resulting in breakage. I drill out the rivets that hold the window regulator in and weld 1/4 nuts on the back of it so it can be held in with bolts and removed for stuff like this.
DO NOT DRILL OUT THE RIVIT!!!!!! Unbolt the hinge Two 1/4 inch bolts. Use silicon spray to install the new seal and it is helpful to remove the old seal as well. And you put the plastic washer on the wrong side of the cam washer. It goes between the cam and the loop part of the mount Not the frame.
Okay I can understand that, There would be alot of folks that would torque the screws down and twist the frame. You just use a stainless steel bit, what size. Your vids are very informing.

Hello I would like to know if I could use a 1979 f-100 xlt custom as a parts truck for a 1977 f-100 custom truck. I don't know much about these trucks I'm thinking about buying a 1977 truck and would like to know if this can be done our not, any info would be helpful 79 truck I have has bad motor and transmission..
I understand. This was one of our early videos where we did not have personal mics. We only had the camera mic. That has changed over the years and we do plan on redoing these older videos in the new year.
Older video, still relevant …. Absolutely helpful. Best how to for a vent window. Read my mind …. “Not to long, will fit”
Thanks for posting these videos, it definitely had an influence on me purchasing your complete kit for my 1974 F100.
Glad you found them useful.

Armor All... coat the back side of the rubber with Armor All or similar and it will go in to place 10 times easier, we found..
Thanks i'm going to try this tomorrow with the passenger side I fought the driver's side for hrs tonight
Why do you drill out the rivit, when you can take off the two screws holding that little bracket on?

I like how he gets the white part of the door panel dirty from the drill there.
Why in the world would you recommend drilling out a rivet when you can just remove 2 screws.

Love the video!!!

Not from the website. Call in for options. 800-387-8241
I think you put the top plastic Teflon washer on incorrectly The washers should be against the steel not above the cam.
