This was super helpful. I’ve been gathering a list of vendors that supply vintage F100 parts. I have to find a replacement rear window and need a new seal for sure.
I'm glad you found it helpful! It is a pretty easy install. If you need the entire window seal kit, I've those those too. Sometimes called anti rattle kits.
Thank you! I was not looking forward to this vent window job, but not having to remove the big window looks much better. My vent frame bracket at bottom is broken off, so I may buy a new frame and rubber. It also needs glass as there is a small crack. It will be much nicer when this is fixed with warm weather around the corner. I can't open now since bottom is not attached with broken bracket. I have a 66 F-100.
It's pretty straight forward once you start digging into the disassembly! I hope it goes smooth for you! I was lucky enough to have good channels for the new rubber to lay in!
LMC is good company. Not always great quality but at least they have what you need and that's a lot better than going without. Pretty sure you could build a 70s model ford from scratch if you really wanted to. Thanks Jake!!
They may require some trimming, but these seals were pretty accurate! I've purchased some other things by LMC and they have all met my expectation. I still have a new front window, glass and seal to install. That should be interesting
Is there a reason that I shouldn't use silicone spray lubricant to help with seal installation that you were referring to when pressing the seal.onto the the frame piece?
I had to rope the top in first, which is the opposite of how I'd normally do it. Then pull the bottom edge of the seal by hand. It did end up fitting, but not without a ton of struggle lol
@@JakeHarrington yeah. I tried everything I could. I just can't get the vent window to close. It's too tight at the front end point. Almost like the gasket is too thick. I got it all the way into the channel on the whole thing for the frame. I'm wondering if it's due to the new vent window frame I got via LMC. Seems like it's beefier than the stock one. We'll see how the Steele Rubber ones work out.
Appreciate it bro have one myself one paycheck at a time

I have had good experiences with the LMC parts. They have been well stocked thru this pandemic stuff also.
Thx for the video.
I just made another big order from LMC! They do not disappoint!
Thanks for the vid. I would add to go ahead and take all the bolts and screws out for the window channel….makes it’s so much easier.

thanks for the video . I just got the seals for my 66 and this was helpful.
I'm glad you found it helpful! If you run into any issues, I'm happy to help!
Very well done. Best I've seen in awhile
Cool truk, brother. I have no trouble with LMC. Just did the same on my '66. Your vid helped, thanx.
Thanks man! I intend to get back to this truck build later this year! It's so close lol
Nice detailed descrition. I like those 60s Ford's.
Thank you! I love them! One day, I may look into doing a 50's on the channel! I love those too!
@@JakeHarrington I used to have a 62 unibody. Unfortunately I got rid of it. Wish I still had it. I like the 50s trucks too.
There are plenty more out there, needing to be saved!

Pretty easy windshield as long as you don't have to deal with the chrome, they rope in pretty quick. Its much easier with two people.
@@robertspear9134 thanks! I'm going to attempt it! I've got a couple cracks in the windshield, I don't want getting worse
Thank you 😊 I have the 1964 F250. I got some parts fom LMC and some from Dennis Carpenter do to shortages.
Unfortunately you cannot find the center post any longer next to the vent window at either LMC or Dennis Carpenter.
Thank you. I needed this video.
I'm glad it helped you!
Good job thank you.
Do you have a video for how to do the rear ones for the vent window??
Great Video !
I appreciate it!
much enjoyed thanks for sharing....
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for this big help! Did it turn out to be unnecessary to take of inside access panel or are there a couple screws to remove on the window track?
Like the flag in your shop...
Thank you! I love it!
this was very helpful
👍👍
Is there a reason that I shouldn't use silicone spray lubricant to help with seal installation that you were referring to when pressing the seal.onto the the frame piece?
Anytime I mess with a seal nowadays I use a foaming glass cleaner to help slide it in place. It's much easier cleanup than an actual lubricant!
@@JakeHarrington Thanks. I have that very job to do right now. Just got the seals from LMC. Thank you for the video BTW. Very nicely done👍
@vdog4799 I hope it helped! If you have any troubles feel free to reach out!
thanks stud!
do you have any front or rear F100 window and seal replacement videos?
I'm actually getting ready to tackle both of those projects! I'll be sure to do a video, when I do though!
have you done a wiring harness on this truck?
Yes! It's a universal style harness!
Why did you take the door panel off
I have always had good quality parts at LMC and Dennis Carpenter. Often it is the same manufacturer.
Both are good companies! I have had more experience with LMC, compared to Dennis Carpenter, but I have never had issues with either.
Yeah...those LMC ones didn't fit at all. I had to go and order up from Rubber Steele for $163! dangit.
