Just took this today. Started off well but the sea was very rough. Before long there were people vomiting everywhere and some lying on the ground. The bathroom looked like a nightclub bathroom at 3am! I was in business class so I don’t know what state the standard class was in. Will take the plane next time! Great video though 😊
Loving these boat travel reviews! I don't see that many on other channels but they are my favorite genre, and I love how you take extra care to review all the passenger experiences you can. Can't wait for the special korea episodes!
Wow! Quite impressive and thanks for taking us along. Very well documented, was it only you, the crew, and a handful of other passengers? Also, are you based out of Kyushu? I spent time in Kyushu many years ago and videos like this leave me a bit homesick for Japan and I look forward to enjoying more of your travels.
thank you so much! I am glad you enjoyed my videos. Usually it is just me but sometimes my pregnant wife tags along. I am based out of Tokyo but I do love me some Kyushu. Thanks again!
Hey there! Sure, the embarkation process is very simple. You have to pass through immigration with a passport and some very light security stuff like at and airport, but not nearly as intense. As far as the luggage, there is a upper weight limit but our luggage was never weighed and overall they did not seem too worried about anything like that. There is no “checked luggage” so as far as I can tell, if you can carry it yourself within reason, you can probably take it on board. Hope this helped!
Me and my friends are planning a trip to Japan and Korea. Is possible to fly into Japan then take a ferry to South Korea? Is there a time limit to how long you can stay in Korea after entering by boat?
Hey there. You can indeed take a ferry from Japan to South Korea (depending on where in Japan you are) and the amount of time you can stay in Korea after entering by boat is the same as entering by plane. Have a nice trip!
Most people typically fly into Tokyo or Osaka. They are a long Shinkansen ride to Fukuoka…. Which is the closest ferry ride to Korea. Be aware that you land in Busan. Busan to Seoul is another ktx train ride. Take a look at a map. Ive just recently did a similar trip over 30 days in both countries.
I booked my tickets 🎟 for early June
From Busan to Fukuoka
Excited to visit Fukuoka for the 1st time 😊

Great video, thanks for sharing! Do you mind explaining a bit the embarkation process? Specially the luggage and weighting part?

Which is the better option, traveling by air or traveling by sea, and why is the correct answer "traveling by sea?"
imo sea travel has better accommodations and views than air travel, but i guess it ultimately depends on if you get airsick/vertigo or seasick lol
@@misterlamprey7777 now that you mention it, someone susceptible to sea sickness would probably be best advised to avoid the Queen Beetle.

Is it possible to travel with regular luggage? (Not carry-on)
Yes you can bring regular luggage just like on a airplane
