I just love Tom and Nancy Oar. They are both so humble, and their relationship with one another is to be admired. It’s fantastic to watch how he lives his life, trapping and making a living with Nancys help.

Tom, with his knowledge of a hide craftsmen and canoe building etc, is an American icon. I hope he can pass down his knowledge because if he goes, so does all of that talent. It can't be lost. It and he is invaluable, priceless. And his relationship with hus wife is straight out of a storybook. God bless and keep him.

Tom is the reason Montana has remained my home for 52 yrs... love to meet him ... I only live 90 miles from him !!! I consider him to be one of my Native American family brothers !!! 💘
I'm from Bonners Ferry, Idaho but now live in Coeur d' Alene. It's been a long time since I went up to the Yaak. I'm planning on going next spring once the general store they have is finished. I need some "crafts" from them. My wife can't wait either!
Tom has always been my favorite. He is just such an amazing man. My family probably gets tired of me saying but Tom says lol they all know just who im talking about and just laugh at me. I'd rather my kids watch this on TH-cam then half of the pointless youtube videos of kids playing with toys.
I love Tom and Nancy! They remind me of my Grandmother. She was a beautiful and strong Paiute/Shoshone woman who lived at the bottom of the Sierra Nevada mountains. An absolutely beautiful place but very harsh as well. She taught us a lot about respecting nature and all it’s power. She would sleep outside in the summer and she just was just such an amazing lady with so many life skills. She worked hard and loved her way of life just like them and even in her later years she had more energy and strength than most.
Tom is a very intelligent man with very much Wisdom! He really works hard! He needs to learn to relax! What a nice wife! I'm sure she worries alot about him! Thanks for sharing!

I love this guy how in his late 70s can still meander in the woods hunting beaver, wolves, wildcats etc and then create from the pelts so much beauty. One super wish I know won't meet History channels Tom and Nancy a most supreme, woodsman and wife spent their years together in life all alone in a homemade hut well into his 70s a tough old nut I could live forever, and still never be one per cent of what this man has seen
