What a lovely, refreshing podcast! You just appeared today on my YT recommendations, and I'm chuffed- I love your sparkle and your projects 🤩Looking forward to watching your Nova Scotia episode this afternoon whilst knitting on my self-draughted mittens (hopefully they will keep me warm during my winter concerts in French churches and chapels). See you soon!
What a lovely message! Thank you. Good luck with the mittens. 😊
Wow! Your sweaters are all so gorgeous! Great episode and I look forward to watching future episodes!
Thank you very much! So kind. 😊
Diving in from the beginning... Looking forward to seeing all of your beautiful knits and adventures!
Yay! I'm so excited that you're here! Dive away. You'll discover my earlier travels to NS. I feel in love with your neck of the woods only last summer and now am hooked!
Great makes and super yarns! Thanks for sharing your journey!

I LOVE your projects and your sense of color ❤
Thank you! I was definitely in a bright colour phase.🙂
Great first episode. You are so comfortable with the camera. You will have great success. 👍

Yayayayayayyyyyy!!!!
Hi! You popped up in my TH-cam recommends - this is such a great first episode, I loved seeing all your FOs and WIPS, and I’m looking forward to seeing future episodes! 😊
You're too kind! Thank you. 😀
Had to go back to your 1st podcast after seeing 2024 episodes! I also still have some MacAuslands yarn that I purchased there in 1998. Still have a few different colours in stash so will watch future episodes to see if you made the Cara. From a fellow Canadian who moved from the GTA to Niagara region several years ago. Wondering what favourite LYS you are referring to ….. thanks for a great episode!
Hi there! I'm can't recall the exact LYS. My favourites are The Knitting Loft and Eweknit. There are so many exciting options in the city!
I really enjoyed your pod and seeing your knitting. I wish you luck and a happy travel. Greetings from Copenhagen Denmark 😃
Thank you very much! Very kind. 🥰
Love finding a Canadian podcast! Looking forward to seeing your travel adventures and your knitting too! Thanks for a great first podcast.
I just tooned in! Great to learn this is Canadian! Yea🇨🇦
Oh I love your knitted top
Thank you very much! You're very kind. 🥰
Welcome to Nova Scotia Jennifer! You will not need any of those sweaters here in NS right now as it is Hot and humid. Terence bay is just down the road from me. I am sure you made it to Peggy's Cove by now😊. Hope you make it down the south shore to all our beautiful beaches and towns like Chester, Mahone Bay (Woolworks yarn shop), Lunenburg, Shelburne , Liverpool...and beyond. Have a great trip!🥰, Sharon.
Thank you, Sharon! Nova Scotia is soooo beautiful. Sweaters were brought, but not needed in the day. I have been wearing them in the evening when needed, even if just around my shoulders. NS is a knitter's paradise! 🥰
Ok, I need that pink neon!!! Loving your color choices, will follow your journey for sure!
Thank you very much!
@@pairswellwithknitting i was gifted a ball of pink neon mohair!!! Now to find something to pair with it 🥰
@@bibamakes Very exciting!
You appeared on my recommendations on TH-cam, really enjoyed your first episode and i'm looking forward to more. We are in the UK and we have just come back from our first visit to Toronto, loved it and can't wait to return to Canada to explore more, excited to see where you go
Thank you! Toronto is a hustling city with lots to do and taste.😀
Loved your episode! Can’t believe it’s your first. I am looking forward to following along on your knitty travel adventures. Your Amy slip over is very cool. I think you will have lots of fun wearing it. I am watching from the very hot sunny interior of BC. I have been knitting forever (about 65 years). I knit sweaters for my boyfriend and I as a teen, but then only knit baby sweaters, kids sweaters, hats and mitts for the next 63 years, so am definitely a newby to garment knitting and started knitting socks during COVID. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks, but I have much to learn before I go rogue on a sweater pattern lol!
Thank you! You are an experienced knitter. Raglan sweaters are fairly straight forward to customize and freestyle, if you're willing to experiment. Good luck! ☺
A great first episode, you’re a natural!
Thank you! 😀
You are a natural. I love how adventurous you are with your knitting. Can’t wait to see your progress and travels. I’m in Arizona. The weather has been consistently over 110 for the past several weeks. This is the first year that I’ve started knitting “summer” garments. Only to be worn in deep air conditioned buildings. My heart really lies with wool knitting. I love the yarn and process even though they don’t get much use.
I also love wooly wools and find myself gravitating towards sweater knitting even in the summer. ☺
You are such a spark of joy! I love your yarn color choices! I am excited to follow your journey. You will be a great travel companion!
Thank you very much! You're too kind.🥰
Your colours is nice. I did like your projects. Above all I did like so kuch your top (or blouse?). Thanks. 🌻🌻🌻
Thank you! That's very kind. 🥰
@@pairswellwithknitting 🌻🌻🌻
I love the color choices you make for your garments!

Thank you! I've been diving into colour quite a bit. 🥰
So happy that you posted after all!
Can’t wait to see more :)
Thank you! You were the inspiration! 🥰🥰🥰
How lovely that I found your channel. I live on a farm, a half hour west of London, Ontario. We are also in the process of exploring the Eastern provinces. I have seen all of the Western provinces, but my husband hasn't seen any of it, so we decided to start with the Eastern side of the country. Just not all at once like you are doing. (I did do the western provinces all at once though, as well as separately.) so far we have been to Quebec, PEI, and New Brunswick. Nova Scotia (Annapolis Valley region specifically is next on our list.) I love bringing my knitting along for the ride too. So your vlog is right down my alley. You are a natural, so I'm really looking forward to watching your vlogs .
Thank you for such kind words! I'm so excited that you've been exploring the beauty of Canada. I have also dabbled in the West and now giving the east some attention, which it clearly deserves. It's been a delight! 😀
Congratulations on your first episode. Your color choices for the Amy Slipover is gorgeous.
Thank you very much! It's been such fun to knit. 😊
Hi! I am so glad you popped up on my TH-cam! I really enjoyed your podcast and can’t wait for the next one! 🤗Blessings!

Great first episode. Loved your projects and color selections. Can’t wait to along and watch you again!
Thank you! I was in spring colour-mode. ☺
Great first video
Thank you!🙂
Enjoyed your 1st episode! I’m a continental knitter too. I also don’t mind purling. I have amazed some of my friends by how fast I can purl 😂
Thank you! Purling is great when you're continental. 🤗
What a great first episode!!! I really enjoyed your style and allllllll those fabulous FO’s and WIP’s. As a Canadian living in the US I love love love watching knitters from “back home”. Safe travels too!
So kind! Than you very much! 🥰
Good first podcast. Safe travels

Great 1st episode and presentation! Looking forward to follow you on your adventure. I hope you will have a great time on the road. Greatings from The Netherlands.
Thank you very much! It has already been blissful. Lots of on-the-road knitting. 😊
Hi Jennifer,
I’m excited to watch and hear about your travel and knitting adventures. If your travels take you to BC, come and visit our lovely City of Nelson. Karen
Hi Karen, Thank you very much for such kind words! I would love to venture out west again. 🙂
So happy to have you pop up on my you tube . So enjoyed your podcast. Looking forward to your next ones
Thank you! I can't wait to share about my knitting adventures. 🙂
Love your bright cheery yarn!! Great podcast!
Thank you! I have been inspired by the season. 🙂
I live in coastal NC (US) and in our county the area to our east is called Down East so you alerted me when you referenced it. We have far more warm weather than cold weather. So this year I had an epiphany about my wooly knits. They were getting very little love. So my focus has shifted to plant based yarns.
I love the term Down East. It seems so dear and love that your home area shares the name. Good luck with the plant-based yarns. 😊
Hi, What a lovely first podcast. I love that Sandness Book with the Amy slipover. Would you mind sharing the name of the shop where you found the booklet. Thank you. Jan
Thank you Jan! I purchased this book from theknittingloft.ca/. Good luck!☺
Love this, looking forward to seeing you on your journey
Thank you! ☺
Loved your first podcast. I love Alison Rendall as a designer and have knitted her beanies. She is a very tight knitter and though I am not a loose knitter, my lovely beanie was too wide for my head. Yours looks very large also so try it on. When I knit her designs again, I’ll do one or two repeats less in the pattern. Happy traveling.
Thank you. Great advise! I went down to my smallest needle and I know my the beanie will be a little too large. 🙂
Welcome to youtube! 😄you have such lovely knits, I really love your color choice!
happy knitting~
Thank you very much! Lots of colour for spring. ☺
What a great episode, I subscribed right away! 🌟Your colour choices are awesome and every single thing you showed I love and would wear myself! I'm especially inspired now to also make a sweater in kelly green. You speak so clearly and give the perfect amount of detail, and the videos added on top showing how each knit looks on are very helpful too. Hope your travels out east are going well so far!
Thank you very much for your kind words and insightful feedback! Very appreciated. 🥰
Enjoyed seeing all your knitted jumpers and WIPs. Very inspiring. Look forward to seeing more. ☺️
Thank you! I really love to knit sweaters and more on are the needles now. 🥰
Glad to have found you on my feed. I really enjoyed your first podcast and look forward to all your knitting and travel adventures. Love from Australia xx
That's so lovely. Thank you! ☺
Lovely 1st podcast and presentation. Have a wonderful trip it sounds delightful. I too purchase and knit based on memories; Disney trip, Key Largo trip, Pride month etc... A friend in Pennsylvania~ Trish
Thank you, Trish! It really makes the garment more meaningful, which really extends the joy of our experience. ❤
Glad you popped up on you tube this morning. Enjoyed your 1st podcast and looking forward to your yarny adventures. You are a lovely knitter. Safe travels.
You're very kind! Thank you. I loved putting it all together. 🥰
Lovely podcast. Have a wonderful journey. I’m in NB - used to live in NS as well. Enjoy the trip ❤️
Very kind! Thank you. It has been a delight! 🥰
happy travels . . .
Thank you very much!
Love the clip of you modelling your yellow sweater ❤ beautiful sweaters you have knit , and hello from fellow Canadian
Thank you! Sweaters are my favourite thing to knit. :)
Great first episode! I recently read Unraveling Canada by Sylvia Olsen. Might be a fun read for you on your road trip.
Thank you! I love your suggestion. 🥰
Beautiful knits and colour choices 💮 Do you find the Briggs and Little a bit scratchy next to skin? OTOH, B&L makes fantastic warm socks more like a double knit weight, which get cozier with each washing. A good thing for Canadian winters, eh?
Thank you very much! I do find BL a little scratchy, but I wear something under my knits- a blouse, t-shirt, camisole. Love the rustics!😃
Great episode. Your podcast showed up on my recommendations on TH-cam and I’m so glad it did. I’m a new podcaster also and loved listening to all of the projects that you are doing. You are such a quick knitter. I love all of your sweaters and can’t wait to watch your next episode. I hope you have a fun visit 💖
Thank you! Good luck with your new podcast. 🙂
So glad your podcast popped up onTH-cam ! I wish you a great knitting journey. If you could tell me where you bought the Sandness Garn book it would be appreciated. Love love their patterns and what you are knitting from this book is gorgeous !
Thank you! I purchased the book from theknittingloft.ca/
@@pairswellwithknitting Many thanks !🥰
@@johaneguilbault273 My pleasure. Good luck!
👍😊
Hello! Great first podcast! You mentioned taking a sabbatical this year to travel. I assume you are a teacher/professor. What do you teach? Are you working on a specific project or are you doing research during your sabbatical? Vicky (knitter/English teacher)
You're kind! I'm a teacher. Does knitting count as research this year? 🥰
What a great podcast… you did great…. Keeping going…..l what parts of NS are you travelling? I’m live in Cape Breton and it’s the most beautiful place to be .. I guess I’m bias .. enjoy your adventure
Thank you very much! We've been loving the NS. Terrence Bay has been a favourite! I'd love to visit Cape Breton. 😀
@@pairswellwithknitting the Cabot Trail is beautiful in the fall when the leaves change… it’s breath taking
@@carriemarman9482 I plan on returning. Fall would be beautiful!
You are not being bias, CB is beautiful whatever time of year. LOVE the Margaree area.🥰Sharon.
Taking a trip to Toronto in September, and will be at the Fairmont. What is a good LYS nearby?
Great question! Closer to downtown is Eweknit. If you're willing to subway north, check out The Knitting Loft. Both fab LYS!!! 🙂
Your work is perfection! Loved this first episode but it's obvious from how stiff you were when modeling that you're far too introverted. Maybe try to loosen up a little...😂😂😂 (Please read with intended ribbing, I think you did great)
Thanks very much! I appreciate your feedback. 🥰
What the heck is redonkulous? And what is memorable yarn?
Here's a link to the Ranunculus www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ranunculus-3. I hope this helps!🙂
