    It works fine on my PC, but they also did an excellent job bringing it to consoles, using the controller is surprisingly great. I mainly play it on console now.

    If anyone is worried about the lag on PC when you build larger parks, know that I have an old laptop with multiple viruses that cause it to get hot enough to burn me after 10 minutes...yet it still runs fine after building a huge park. You reeeeally have to spend multiple days on each building in order to get to the point where your computer is lagging out.

    hey ! i just got planet coaster on pc ( i have the console version) but i wonder if all dlc s have the same content on each platform. For example i got the vintage pack and the blueprint for the vintage zoltan machine is there while on pc its not. Which makes me really nervous because i cant find all content on the dlc ( yes i m not dumb and im aware of which dlcs i have.

      I haven’t bought all of the DLCs but from what I’ve seen, the content in the DLCs I’ve purchased aren’t different between platforms. I did notice, however, that console edition generally has more premade blueprints than on PC.

  • @andrea83
    @andrea83 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    In my opinion you forgot 2 important things about the pc version...
    1) the cost. I've bought the key from instant gaming for less than 7€ instead of the 50 and more € of the console version
    2)language. For people that don't are so skilled in English (like me) pc version can offer you translation made from users. I'm playing it in Italian on my pc, i don't know how many different languages are available on console.
    I always prefer to play on console because it is usually easier than the pc, turn on, take your controller and play. No compatibility problems, crashes, etc... But I actually play planet coaster on my cheap pc without any graphic card and it works acceptable to me

      I've only been playing a few months and just discovered the "subscribe-able" content that other stream players share, last night!! Any kinda custom content you can think of, the creators are sooooo talented, makes me wanna go back to RCT3 but I'll be busy trying to use half the cool stuff lol... I can say that I got the Ghostbusters add on when it was clearanced, I was pleased it had challenges outside of the main game, but recently downloaded a couple adventure, classic rides add ons, been busy in career so haven't really had a chance to say they were worth the $....especially since my recent Stream discovery.....I was wondering if anybody ever preferred using a console control on PC... I may try trackball, my carpal issues flared back up after all the mouse clicking :-)

    I am itching to play this game for the first time. But I have a Windows 10. Now I looked at the Planet Coaster PC system requirements I got minimal fine but recommended, not so much. I'm afraid that I'll buy it, (and I'm in no position to buying a whole lot) and then immediately starts lagging as I open it. The same thing happened when I got Cities Skyline.

    • @808CoasterLife
      @808CoasterLife  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      My low-end computer was able to run it pretty well when I turn down the quality of a few things. It also runs pretty well if I don’t build big or highly-detailed park. Things like special effects take a toll on performance too. I was able tolerate the lag for a very long time. IMO for your situation, it depends on your tolerance for game lag.

    I have planet coaster on pc and console and I definitely prefer it on pc. If you use the prefab coaster elements on console then it all just glitches and you have to restart the game loosing any unsaved changes. Also if you need some help the there is so much more content on the steam workshop than the frontier workshop for you to use. But just to clarify I do still respect your opinions and I can see why you might prefer console. ;)

    • @808CoasterLife
      @808CoasterLife  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually encountered that prefab elements issue while building my first coaster on console edition. That could be fixed in a patch update but I agree that there’s a lot more content on PC edition. If I had a better PC to run this game, I would probably prefer the PC edition.

    2 years late but to note, you can't build as high on roller coasters on console as PC. Console you can only build up ~175 Meters, while on PC You can build up 625 Meters.

    • @808CoasterLife
      @808CoasterLife  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good thing to note. If you like building realistic coasters, that height cap on console shouldn’t bother you too much.

  • @hardpunkkore9235
    @hardpunkkore9235 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    PC all the way. I bought beefy unit just to play Planco at PC launch and never regretted it. Great Adventure is my home park so I like building big sprawling parks with 10+ coasters. My last park had over 300K pieces placed with 13 coasters running with 15k guest and probably 100+ staff and the FPS was still around mid 20s. The slow down doesn't bother me, I would rather be able to build the parks I want rather than sacrifice park size and coaster limits. I realize it can sometimes be expensive to build a PC with top hardware for gaming, but let's be realistic, unless you are a kid who doesn't work, they are relatively affordable, mine was. And even though it's like 6 years old now, it still performs as well as the day I bought it.

    • @808CoasterLife

    Frontier has a complete dogshit record of keeping console ports updated and patched. Go for PC or don't bother with their games tbh, ntm the absolute audacity that they release DLC priced at such a point that it's literally cheaper to buy the game again to get them all, oh, and they skipped out on the Universal Studios packs on console.

    I currently have computer version of Planet Coaster, but I'm thinking about getting console version because coasters. Lol. (Also my computer decided to quit working and getting a decent gaming computer at a fair price is nearly impossible right now)

      The console version will probably run more consistently than the PC version but the PC version has more content if you're into that.

    I cant stand P.C's and laptops etc, I hate them with a passion they are so B*tchy and temperamental, consoles just work when I need them to and thats my choice so its all just a matter of oppion nothing more. pointless debate. I have consoles 30 years old that still work as good as the day they where made... can you say that about any of your P.C's?

      That's what the power of optimization does. It's one of the biggest reasons why I prefer console edition for Planet Coaster.
