Honestly I feel like the biggest thing you need to be 'good' at PlanCo is patience. I have never been able to finish a realistic park because I just don't have the patience to complete tedious placement of scenery objects. I know I am able to and have made some relatively good looking stuff but can never find the motivation to do scenery for more than an hour at a time.

Theres never been a video that has inspired me to play planet coaster before, but you sir have done it! Great job on this, i love some of the smaller details like the ropes up on the roof of the queue cover.

Ngl this is such an important video for beginner players. scenery and queue design can be so intimidating but its important to remember you can be creative with ANYTHING! Encouraging new players to use roofs and doors for custom floors, barriers, fences etc. I wouldn't have though to explore like that if I was new. I still am a newbie but I've made so many custom building I am happy with in my 2 years of owning this game. I wanted to make a mega park, I had my inspiration but I lack the relevant experience when it comes to working with terrain and bringing my ideas to life.
This was amazing!!! My children purchased PC for me. I did one large park. It turned out great!! As a perfectionist I spent hours learning all I could about this game. Unfortunately it was so labor intensive it has been over a year I just stay away!!! I do love your videos!!!
I think my strengths imo are coasters, I love building them and creating unique smooth layouts. I also think a strength of mine is grand builds and immersive areas. I’m not that good at things like backstage areas, which I would like to improve on in the future

Playing that game for 4 years now (started when i was 10) and i cant even build a shop. I watched so many Videos and stuff but i think this one was actually helpful. Thank you
the 'start small" thing is pretty much spot on. i usually give up during building of the entrance building. i fight the ui, fight the horrible placement of stuff, fight the enormous choice of stuff i can't put down.. it's all a bit too much so i end up with parks that look like how your first example look. i think i will just surrender to the fact i am a horrible diorama builder.
Bit of advice for entrance buildings: They don't have to wrap around the entrance entirely; you can get away with having the building on one side (I tend to include the information kiosk inside) and a decorative fountain or sculpture on the other side. If you do choose to arch the building over the entrance, ensure the path underneath is well lit. The entrance should echo the core theme of the entire park. If accuracy with placement is a struggle for you, I recommend using the 'snap to position' option to align free-place objects with grid-place objects. From there, you can select the free-place objects (hold shift while clicking) and press 'x' to move the pieces with advanced move controls.
Of course I subbed...you sir are a VERY clever marketer. Also, this video is brilliant and I NEED (not want, explicitly) more of this, more shitty small layouts that you fix in this EXACT format. This truly was wonderful and helped me get back into the game.

I love this but my creativity is awful, I used to build either big parks with big gaps which were hard to fill in and went very basic with the environment atmosphere, I will definitely be using this video as inspiration for my new park! Thank you :)

Same here. And then I feel a bit like a fool, because looking at this video, it's all pretty simple. I have the tendency to use the objects only for what they were intended. Resizing objects isn't generally something you can do in Planco, so I didn't immediatly think of stacking them, because in actual game development/design, such practices are bad practices. So it's a bit of fighting against a mindset that shouldn't be used in this game, as it is a game you are playing and not a game you are building. And indeed, the patience. It's easy to get demotivated when you look at other peoples results, even if you are aware you are just a beginner. Being a perfectionist doesn't help either.

Plan co really is a great game for letting you get creative, it took a while for me to realise that you could put asset's down individually :D. Brilliant Video mate well done.
The coaster type is very important for coasters. I often see a wildmouse acting as a regular coaster for example while these are often very small but use as much space in a small area instead (height included). Like on a fairground

Yeah, this definitely is the game for me. I've been playing Minecraft creatively for a decade now, and looking for some new games to jump in. Planet Zoo and Planet Coaster are looking amazing with endless creative possibilities. Hope performance is good with that many different small pieces together for just 1 ride? Luckily I got a decent PC, so we'll see. Gonna be a while until I have a large park anyways haha. Lovely build too!
Yo, I saw this video and I just started a new mini park because I always force my self to build mega parks but never finish them.instead of the insanity ride I used the swinging pirate ship and you guessed it, themed it to pirates.Don’t worry though I didnt full on copy you because when I look at mine and yours I don’t see a lot of similarities other than MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF WOOD😂😂😂. I hope one day when I’m finished with this mini park you could see it but I need to take a step back because that’s never ever happening. Thanks for inspiring my work and getting me back into this game.

Planet Coaster has the best graphics and the most freedom and modern rides, RCT3 was the classic and nostalgic 3D roller coaster game that we all have memories of, Ultimate Coaster X has the smoothest and most exact roller coaster track editor

I LOVE Planet Coaster. As someone who first played RCT when they were 4 years old, I grew up with those games. They imbibed the love for business into my head. That said, Planet Coaster is like what I remember RCT being when I was a kid. New, fresh, fun, addicting to play. Seriously, ever since I unlocked friction tuning for my coasters, I'm obsessed with designing them. I have 25 sandbox maps just FILLED with custom rides (the only coaster I've never touched is the 4D coaster, and we all know why). The one thing I struggle with is scenery/theming. Management, ride design, I get everything else. The artsy has always eluded me but your video has helped a lot. Thank you, so much!

Haha! Nothing wrong with building dioramas. I love packing a huge amount of detail into a small space!

For perspective my first park was 50k pieces, large for some, but my largest Super Zaiden is 850k pieces.

The one thing I struggle with is scenery/theming. Management, ride design, I get everything else. The artsy has always eluded me but your video has helped a lot.
