I'm going to purchase a 1984 Toyota P/U, manual, 4x4, regular cab, one owner, less than 100k miles and in mint condition. No dents and never been in any accidents. She said that it's been parked for a long time and I asked how long was that and she said about 10 to 15 years now. It has no cracks on the dashboard. It's sun faded Toyota red in color and that's the only issue. No rust. I'm going to be a pretty happy camper when I get it. We talked about $1,500 and she was thinking the same. It will need new tires, battery, all new fluids and the removal of the old gas. It might need new hoses.

Dude you are walking away with one hell of a deal. These trucks under those conditions running or not go for $7-12k easily especially with that amount of mileage. Keep it my friend you won’t regret it.
P.S: my dad had a ‘89 Toyota pickup 2nd with the 22r and 4-speed manual. Learned how to drive manual in that truck. I was 15. He sold it for pennies and that is one of the vehicles that I miss driving.

Oldschool japanese pick-up trucks look the best.

That was one of my first cars and i almost am positive that the bench did slide forward to backward.

    what camera are you using?

what you talking about? The bench seat does adjust. There is a lever in front corner stick your left hand underneath you should feel the handle.

Yeah that was my mistake. I realized later that it is adjustable, but the lever on this one was just not working.

Actually the hilux nd pickup are different nd have different features. The hilux didn't get a v6. Mainly the diesel and some petrols. Uve got a Beautiful truck by the way (in amazing condition) Hilux is a total workhorse even now nd isn't luxurious. I've got a 2006 Hilux Vigo G with a 1kd engine which is the thai markets model nd it can take a lotta hits nd u can run it without oil too. Most company trucks r very banged up but still run great. Doesn't rust easily either. The pickup nd hilux were mainly different by the way they were designed. The hilux is for high amounts of payload while the pickup can tow a lot of weight. Its according to the requirements. Here in Asia we need trucks to take bags of stuff etc. around nd it has to be cheap. In America they needed the towing capability nd a bit of luxury for the family. Trust me the hilux isn't luxurious like the tacoma cz well it's not a road car. Hell u got no passenger airbag in most n70 models. It's mainly a workhorse. Luxurious interiors r expensive to repair.

Very nice truck, I drive a 1994 toyota 4runner with the 3vze and you know it's no race car and it struggles with hills but I'll take the reliability any day over a modern car with all this crap that you just dont use. Now mine has the automatic but still VERY fun truck to drive but because of its weight it does lean on corners hard and it is a gas hog but again 1994 XD
